trying some sea-foam this weekend to clear up the miss-firing I am getting. doing both the intake manifold and gas tank. trying to cover both ends of the fuel-air mixture. Reading old threads is my favorite thing to do :tea:
Do the engine oil too, so it'll All be clean - Luck! :cowboy:
Had my 99 for about a month now, been researching and wanted to bump this great thread...
been getting low MPG's so this might help with it all especially after replacing MAF and cleaning TB. I plan on doing the gas tank, some in oil for longer driving, and intake vacuum.
I'll see if there's any improvement in my t4r @ 153k miles.
Easiest way to seafoam is they make a can with a long bent straw on it that hooks to the TB and the intake goes over it to seal it. Sprays it right before the throttle body so it gives a nice even distribution of stuff. Of course you have to hold the throttle open but that's easy enough.
So wanting to do Seafoam on my car along with BG44K treatment. For some info, it has 280K miles, single owner, religiously changed oil every 5K miles. I also plan on changing the oil after doing the BG44K treatment.
What order should I do these and is there any concern with doing this on a car this old?
Hi, can someone please help on where to i put the seafoam on my rav4 2002 with 1AZ-FE 2.0 engine, i use to put it on brake booster vacuum line until i got this thread. thanks. showing me a diagram where to put the seafom to let is saok to my 4 cylinders will be appreciated.3RZ 2.7l OWNERS:
DO HALF OF THE TREATMENT USING THE BRAKE BOOSTER LINE ON THE INTAKE MANIFOLD. Then, if you look on the other side of the intake manifold, you'll see another vacuum line on the opposite side. Use this to finish off the last two cylinders.
Works well and thoroughly for me, and I don't give a damn if you say otherwise.
