Gutted the lower bumper grille and license plate holder.

Put in mesh that matches the hood scoop

I’m thinking I will possibly do it to the grille too like I had done before.

It’s really amazing. I changed the colors around a little bit. Made it more of a metallic blue and darker. The customization of a radio like this makes it well worth it, and for a quarter of the price of an “elite” head unit.

I bought it like 7 years ago and it’s been sitting around since. So no idea if they still have it. Wasn’t cheap, I think like $50 for like a 4ftx4ft piece.

Figured I would paint the silver on my remote to match.
Used some metallic blue spray paint as this would be impossible to use vinyl wrap and have it look clean.

Haha. The good thing about having had mine painted black already, the door jambs don’t clash. The black door jambs go with the black interior so it doesn’t look weird.

I’m also dreaming about a color change already. Haha. I’ve seen a certain color wrap on a car, that I’ve seen driving around. I already think that is going to be my next wrap color. Except next time hopefully I have the money to pay someone to do it.

I was ok with my previous interior door handles.
Just a door black door handle, nothing to get excited over.

But one of them broke so I was looking around and found these ones with chrome.

I hate chrome and also they were gray plastic.
Looking at the door handles, I also realized I hated the texture pattern on them.

I disassembled both my old handles and the new ones.

I took the outer black part of the old handle, sanded down the texture, sprayed gloss black and clear coat. Wet sanded. Polished.

And now they are nice gloss black with no texture.

As for the chrome part of the handle, I rubbed them with a green scotch-brite pad to give it a brushed aluminum look which I like a lot better.

Assembled old outer part of the handle with the now brushed aluminum interior part and installed.

Thinking of adding little parts of aluminum/silver where I can to break up some of the black interior. Even though I love all black.

Also, in your one post you show the rear wiper piece you replaced., That little piece that faded. How did you get a new one, or did you take off the donor vehicle that was going to auction. Wondering the part #.

AND how do you like the Viper alarm. Is that one of the best? I love the look and shape of the remote,. looks high end.

Sorry I took that off the other 4Runner so I don’t know the part number.

I love the viper alarm. No issues with it whatsoever. I have the included shock sensor then added a tilt sensor and a glass break sensor. There is an even higher end color screen remote but the cost for me isn’t worth it (even though it looks really cool). This remote does just fine for me. And it has a rechargeable battery, with my previous remote I was always having to replace the batteries.

I like that with my rfid push start, it is the only thing I have to carry around without having to have an actual key.

'87-'91 Camry LE... The handles are actual metal. Available in blue, red and grey from the factory, but aftermarket options now are dark grey/black.

I've long contemplated the swap just to get metal handles - but there isn't any other chrome inside my truck, so it would look weird...

For Zac - maybe a new e-brake handle with a chrome (brushed) button would help the look? Not sure what car would have something that would cross over.

I got them on eBay, just a quick search should come up with them.
Around $50 for all four.

Also I believe your question has already been answered about being real metal. These are aftermarket so I wouldn't be able to guarantee real metal but I believe so since they feel quite a bit heavier.

Does look a little weird and getting used to it. That's why I want start adding other little accents around. E-brake handle is something I have considered, as well as the tips of the window switches, and possibly the lock knob.

I don't know why but for some reason the LED 3rd Brake Lights are no longer available on eBay. I had one before I put on the Jaos Spoiler but threw it out after. I never thought I would need it and there were so many on eBay and they were inexpensive.

They have them in Japan though, so I ordered one from Japan. They are not too expensive, around $30 plus shipping costs which can vary.

It came with clear over the LED part.

I hate chrome so I put 35% tint over it.

Before when I had 5% tint on the old light.

After with the new light and 35% tint
