So few weeks back I came up with this:



which resulted in this:



Which in turn lead to this (which I am re-color matching now):



But I had posted a few teasers around the forum and got a few PM's so I figured i'd make the thread before completion. I will wire them up to this and my backup lights with a relay:

(yes I know it's backwards for now)



I'll post details when I take it all apart again. I'm going to run some big washers and rubber isolators this time around

So thanks to [MENTION=105800]Brutalguyracing[/MENTION] for this diagram I got the lights wired up today. Still need to fix the tailgate piece so that I can add the second light. Will just have one for now.

So how so i get my wires in there for my camera without having what happened to yours
If i drill a hole there can i just remove the rear panel and moisture barrier and grab the wires?
Or do i have to remove lots

I'll document it better this time around, but I removed the trim piece and basically followed OEM wiring, but I went all the way along the bottom of the trailgate on the inside. You shouldn't have to drill anything.

not trying to be a a$$ but have you checked the state laws on rear lights, how many, legal height level, etc.? as far as i know in PA- It is illegal to use lights attached to the rear of your vehicle that are pointed toward people behind for any reason.

Turn on your emergency flashers and start swerving around. You'd be amazed how fast people back off when you do that.

Come on man! [MENTION=55855]zopperman[/MENTION] is a Moderator! That gives him God Given powers of "I don't give a **** " and "BANNED! (BattleField Friends joke )" Like he cares about what the law says, he IS THE LAW!

But seriously Zopperman, I would check with local laws just in case. Last thing you want is to get some prick LEO give you a ticket (no offense meant to our LEO members intended, I just see a lot of guys who are "jerks in uniform" for lack of a better term in our area.)

hahah could you imagine, the dude pulls me over and I'm like "I AM A FORUM MODERATOR!" and I walk away with a ton of tickets.

According to another forum it's legal for "scene lighting" but i'm sure it's a ticket if a cop sees me blast someone in the face

I'm on the Northeast Extension (PA476) everyday and occasionally get tailgated. It is a MAJOR pet-peeve of mine. When alone, I turn off the cruise, and coast until they get bored and pass me. Works every time. If I'm really pissed, I brake. When I was a teenager, I would slam on the brakes. Not very smart. When I'm with my wife and child, I let it go, but inside my blood is boiling.

This mod, pretty sure it's not legal, but SO F*CKING WHAT. I can see it very handy in certain situations (night parking/off roading/ etc). Pissing off tail gaters is just the icing on the cake!

This is the best advice I have heard. EVER. ROFL.

Of late, in new england with all the crazy snow storms we have had, I have been SO FREAKING IRRITATED by zombies who drive on the left lane at 20 mph. I might try getting real close to them and start swerving around till they pull over to the right lane.

On my old '93 S10 Blazer (Zombie Truck 1.0) I had a broken rear washer nozzle that shot straight behind me. I used it to piss off tailgaters by pissing on their cars.
