Maybe it's just me, but when I am driving my 4runner most tailgaters don't annoy me at all...it's just not as intimidating when you're in a larger/higher vehicle and their tailgating you in a tiny compact car. I just continue taking my sweetass time and ignore them for the most part.
Not worth the aggravation to confront them IMO, but hey we're all human and we're bound to loose our temper from time to time. Use those lights sparingly is all I've got to say, lol.

i would never consider the 4runner a intimidating nor large. It fits in a compact spot.

Hmm maybe I chose the wrong words, but what I meant is, it's just not that intimidating to me when you're riding my ass in a regular sized car and I can barely see the top of your roof in the rear view mirror, lol.

Why does there always have to be that few that need to bring the law up. Not trying to be a a@@ but how about who cares its their ass they have to deal with it.
I just don't get why people cant worry about the legality of their own cars rather then others. Sad to say there is a law for everything so at some point every one breaks it.
BTW verbal judo is the best skill you can have when dealing with the police if you dont have it enjoy the tickets. 36 years been pulled over for pretty much everything never got a ticket, except that one day I just didnt give a shit and ran my mouth went home with 3 tickets in one stop. went to court they were dismissed due to a certain video presented that was recorded from the bike cam that caught the illegal action of johnny law during the stop.

Exactly, just coast until they realize they're suddenly doing 40mph or whatever and shift left to pass you. Then put the hammer down so they know you did it on purpose.

I, for one, am interested in seeing how the different laws are enacted around the country. But, that also shows that what might be legal in my state might unknowingly get me in trouble somewhere else in the country. Getting a heads up about something that I think is a good idea possibly getting me in trouble is a very helpful thing.

jeez, i guess i rubbed some the wrong way with my question. sorry OP!, if i may say, i could care less what guys do or not do to their rides, whether they risk a ticket or escalating an issue with a possibly road raged individual is their business, my point, if there was any, is that some states still have (private paid inspection aside) strict vec. inspection & certain things may not pass. im not insinuating what people should or should'nt do. sorry, was just trying to participate, making a big deal about it isnt necessary.

Just tired of people making it their business to be the legality police on everything. we have enough of the government already telling what we can eat, how to act, where to sleep, etc etc it gets rather tiresome especially when it comes to something I own and paid for with no hand outs from anyone. Totally agree. While I try to stay away from activities that are bound to cause me problems, they do seem to be rather pervasive, and not very common-sensible sometimes. For instance, backup lights seem like a no-brainer to me. I mean, I need to be able to see where I am going in order to be a safe driver, but "we" (ok, politicians) seem to think that is not a very good idea and they put way too many limits on what I can get away with. And, when I can do something in one area legally, but it gets me in trouble in another area, that seems even dumber.

Hahah I should add - I had a little glitch with my relay today and called Steve.
I got 10 relays for 10 bucks on amazon with sockets. So the sockets had 5 wires of various colors. Red (one would imagine) should be + and black should be -. Turns out they were reversed and black went to pin 30 and subsequently the battery. Lesson learned, always check the colors and don't make assumptions.
