Zero-Point Calibration done wrong - DoOver possible?

Speaking hypothetically, of course. Asking for a friend, as it were. You wouldn't know this person. They live far away. From Canada.

Let us say for a moment that someone (nobody in particular, stop asking questions) performed a Zero Point Calibration, everything went well, and went about their life. A short time later, this person (stop looking at me like that) realized that the procedure was done while the truck was not on a level surface -- the parking place is at a pretty tweaked angle.

If one were to go out and re-do the procedure, would this then overwrite the previous calibration done while I, er, someone else, had the truck parked at an angle? Or does the computer have to be in "error mode" in order to accept new instructions?

Theoretically, your friend should be able to re-perform the calibration at any time. This has not been tested in the real world, mutations may be a minor side effect

If it drives fine now I wouldn't touch it.

That's exactly what the calibration does, erases the previous data and saves the new.

You'll know if it has a bad calibration. You'll have the system swearing at you when you pull out of driveways etc.

It should work fine to do it again, that what it's for, to reset everything, I think you..eerrrr your friend in Canada :eyebrows: should for the sake of everyone else here at the forum should try it and let us know if your...errr friend's :eyebrows: T4R in Canada explodes :fear: or not or something. :snacker:

No biggie I did this other day on son's 05 , had it pulled into the driveway with rear in the gutter & wondering why in the F it wasn't working (light bulb here) pulled back level BAM amazing how that works !!!

Excellent info -- Thank you everyone.

I hadn't considered that if I would be getting Nannygrams from the dashboard while driving regularly had it been a serious issue.
