zero point calibration for SRS/airbag light

Anyone have any info on doing a zero point calibration for an airbag light on an ‘06? All the ZPC threads I’ve read seem to be about VSC/TRAC lights. Sounds like there are different slots to put the paper clip in for different issues. Is there a difference with ZPCs between V6 & V8?

My buddy has an ‘04 GX and was able to do the paper clip trick and it somehow told him he needed a new seatbelt buckle. Is this a code I can just get with an OBD scanner? I’m hoping I can do the paper clip trick and the airbag light’s not on because of something more serious.

I'm not sure you're going to find what you're looking for using those terms.

The Zero Point Calibration refers to a process with the stability and traction systems where you're teaching the vehicle's computer what "sitting flat and level" (or, the Zero Point) looks like. That way it can measure what tilting too far one way or the other looks like on the measuring device and knows when to kick in different safety devices.

You may have better luck if you search for things like "Air Bag Light Reset" or something to that effect.

Ah, that’s probably part of my problem then. I used the same paper clip jumper trick as my friend did on his GX and got codes 18 and 23 back. Not easy fixes. May have to take it to a shop to have a proper reading done.
