Zero point calibration question

So my roommate and I pounded out my body lift last night in 2 hours at his shop. The only thing that sucks is that we flew through it and somehow when we were messing with the steering spacer (which we didnt end up needing) We got the wheel spun 180 and couldnt figure out which way to spin it back (I know, stupid mistake, but we were working fast) Anyways, its no big deal other than needing to recalibrate the steering angle sensor with the zero point calibration. The only thing is that when i follow the directions that i keep finding on here, i dont get the same results.
First off i have an 05 sport edition. I think 05 was the crossover from ISO to CAN so i think this may be why i am having issues. When i try to follow the directions of clearing the memory, i get the vsc off and the ABS light flashing instead of what is supposed to happen. We have done quite a bit of searching and cant really come up with anything else other than doing the zero point calibration on here. If anyone has any experience with this let me know.

You must disconnect the neg batt terminal for at least 2 second and reconnect.

Then perform the Yaw Rate Zero Point Cal
Then perform the Steering Angle Zero Point Cal
