Suggestions for running wires thru passenger firewall?

Since my ARB compressor is getting mounted on the passenger side I would like to run the control/switch wires through the firewall on that side. Other posts imply that the passenger side is a PIA to run wires through so to save me futzing around more than needed...

Any tips from those that have been there and done that?

Check my build thread...I ran some wires through the firewall on the passenger side no problem. There is a really big rubber gasket right behind the glove box in the engine compartment. Be careful and have some liquid electrical tape or liquid gasket handy to reseal it afterwards if you have to cut it. I was just cautious and fished through the 12 guage wire I used without cutting the gasket at all. My way works well, just be careful that you don't nick or damage the tubing that is the windshield washer fluid to the rear window.

Right next to the red wire I inserted is the clear plastic tubing that carries the washer fluid.

The only thing that makes it more of a PITA than the driver's side is the fact that there's a ton of wiring and an airbag right where you need to pull from. So, it's the same as the driver's side, but more cramped. Your best bet is to just use the tricks that Harper and others have posted before: shove an empty Bic pen through the gasket and feed your wires through the smooth plastic vice tacky rubber. I typically just shove something rigid in and then make the hole a bit bigger to get the wires through.
 
I just bundled my wires and ran them across the engine bay with my dual battery cables. Then it's a piece of cake to go in on the drivers side grommet. Also that makes the running of the wires in the interior much easier as you don't have to run from the glove compartment to the center console or left side of the dash.

I just remember that after looking at how to take out the glove box, and seeing how it's not necessarily the most straightforward thing, I decided to just keep it simple and send all my wires through one location.
 
I didn't remove my glove box at all. I just pulled te little kick panel on the right side of the passenger footwell and put a coat hanger through the grommet, tied my wires on to the coat hanger and gently tugged until my wires came through. then I rant the wires through and along the lower door edge and to the back. The others I ran over to the console.
