Picked up the bumper from the powder coaters this morning. Ready for a weekend of installation adventure!
The finish is amazing. Just the way I wanted it, complete with the texture I was after. If you're in SE Wisco, I highly recommend Hy-Tec Coatings in Waukesha. Can't say enough good things about how well this came out.

Well, I did say a "little" dirty lol
It has definitely been much dirtier, but it did take a solid 30 minutes to power wash all of the mud out of the treads and wheel wells. The picture really doesn't do it justice.
This was just the result of me sneaking out of the house for some "me time" for about 30 minutes :hat:

Did a little side yard camping last night with the new Tuff Stuff Overland Alpha tent. This thing is awesome. It's huge, and easy to set up and take down. My kid loved it.
Also, got the Victory 4x4 Front Skid mounted a while back but didn't post up anything.
Can't wait til the Sherpa Rack ships so I can get that tent sitting a few inches lower. Until then, can't fit in the garage. Damnit.

Finally got it a little dirty
Today I went upstate about two hours with my son Anthony and a friend of mine with his Grand Cherokee. His idea to just get out and hit a short, pretty easy trail to get a bit dirty and get some fresh air. Had lunch by a reservoir then headed home but we had to stop at a nice overlook with the Delaware river below. A nice little get away and a chance to play in the dirt finally.

Learned some more stuff about changes in the wiring of the 2020 model. See this post: obd-ii-change-2020-zero-point-calibration-issue.
Last week, when I did our lift, I saw that the original brake lines were just too tight at full droop. So today I went back to the place that did the post-lift alignment, and had them put in some extended (ToyTec) brake lines for the rear.
I had been told that this was the best alignment shop in town. When I had the alignment done I found out that the owner had just lifted his wife's 2020 4Runner, the service writer has a Gen4 4Runner, and the fellow who did the alignment has a 5th Gen lifted 4Runner. Needless to say, we had a lot to talk about. They did a great job with the alignment, and I was happy to give them some more business. And happy not to be bleeding brake lines

I bought a large box of a knock off brand of the magic erasers at Home Depot. Have plenty with you and they get pretty torn up with each wheel.

Installed a set of Diode Dynamics SS3 Sport fog lights and I'm pretty impressed with the light output. So much brighter than the stock halogens. I also tried to install BeamTech LED low beams but the heatsink wouldn't allow them to fit so I just put in a set of Silverstar halogens. I'm sure the Silverstars won't last too long so I'll probably switch to an LED bulb that fits when those go out.
Got pics on how you locked them down as well? I see a cable there...

I'm interested in the SS3's as well. But debating between the sport and pro's what made you go with the sport as opposed to the pro's if you don't mind me asking?
They're on backorder so I can at least take my time to decide.
