What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

And for an actual what I have did. Got new Toyota wipers all around, I've used Rain X, Bosch, and Napa, each for a year and never been happy. Finally tried actual 'Yota including the rear at last, and am happier, but goddamn $75 for all 3 is steep. Best be lasting a bit for that. Additionally all my Yotashop goodies should be arriving very soon for timing belt replace and some hose replacements. Truck been starting reliably once again, high idle remains (to be re-examined after timing belt) though strangely it once again seems a bit unhappy to idle solo after sitting overnight in the cold. The IAC replacement had fixed that awhile back. Gotta say though, after a few days of snow, and then a solid day of puking heavy wet slush snow followed by a good freeze, this thing just walked all over everything so easy like.

Hey All! Unfortunately I blasted my 3rd gen today. Somebody wasn't paying attention and tried to turn left in front if me coming from the inherent direction, and I hit them hard enough to deploy both airbags.

I learned a ton through this forum and was able to replace every piece of rubber in the suspension, the steering rack, and the head gaskets, timing belt, and injectors (Motorwest, highly recommend)

so on my 4runner i installed new trico freezing extreme wiper blades that can handle the cold. treated all my door and tailgate weatherstrip with some stuff you might call strange...Gummi Pfledge Stift...an old german product and your doors dont stick to weatherstrip in freezing cold...nice to be able to open doors when its crazy cold ten new blades on my sons taco then spent a few hours repairing one of our ski doos ...snow machines....up here we call sleds...that took a real bad fall last week when we were working the trap lines. busted up some plastic and the windshield....they sotck the parts up here cause they know how important these rigs are. suprisgingly....way so...cheaper than on line
then helped my grandson install underglow lights on his subie. not something I would do to my rig....but was actually kind of neat in the dark reflecting off the snow covered driveway...and he can change colors
not bad for an old fart...when your old (69) and have a garage available in this climate....you max out...i was not alone twisting wrenches

Good stuff. I can't imagine how challenging the weather must be up there. At least your still fartin! I'm gonna be getting off on the 6th floor pretty soon myself. Unfortunately, I stopped evolving at about 29.

I finally replaced my rusty bumpers! Installed an ARB front bumper. Installed rear face and both rear side's with pre-primed black replacements from Replace® from carid.com (re-used all other parts from existing bumper). I plan on leaving the primer on for now since it doesn't look half bad.

Embarrassingly, I wrapped my rusty rockers in flex seal tape because they need to be replaced and that won't be happening for likely 6 months to year and I don't want the rust getting worse. But today, they look significantly better and I feel they are more protected than nothing.

Up next: valve cover gasket kit, spark plugs, plug wires, radiator, water pump, and timing belt. All of which are sitting in my house needing to be installed.

Yesterday I did a partial interior swap, cleaner front seats, drivers kick panel and door trim piece and cup holder center console from a parts runner I bought for the motor.

Finally a sunny dry day in the 40s. Washed off all the road salt and reapplied silicone paste, anti-seize, grease, WD40, etc.
