So far over the past year I've been running it and it's done well. Noticing some oil consumption between changes, hence the reason for switching over to a high mileage motor oil. I'm hoping in the long run this will serve my engine well, as it's affordable and my engine is running smooth and quietly on it.

Warren Distribution is the parent company who produces the SuperTech, Kirkland Signature synthetic and AmazonBasics motor oil lines. I believe they also produce Mag1 (or something like that) motor oil as well. Pretty reputable from my reading and research so I rest easy at nighttime.

Jon I thought you'd be stoked to see me going back to the ol Toyota oil filters this time around, lol

Lol. I don't use Toyota oil and honestly . Never have. Well maybe transmission fluid as an expiramenry to quiet noisy power steering pumps. That's it though.

It's more important to have frequent oil change intervals then the brand.

As I left work this evening, one of my co-workers pointed out to me that driver side headlight bulb was burned out. I popped the hood to check the electrical connection and everything was tight and secure. I'm a little stumped seeing as I replaced them on July 28th of last year (2022) with the top tier Sylvania bulbs. Debating on what my best option is seeing as this needs to be done pretty immediately.

I agree they should last longer.

While I wouldn't disagree, but I don't feel comfortable spending the money on a job like that for my truck at this point.

And I'm not entirely sure but that's the way it seems. I'm very disappointed by that, especially considering I bought the top line offering vs the basic bulb replacements.

I'm not having good luck with Sylvania. The latest fog light bulbs i bought for my Subaru, already a bad one in 3 months...

It just so happened that I had a spare bulb in one of my toolboxes. Turns out it's a matching Sylvania bulb with the blue color on the tip of the bulb. Not sure if it's 100% identical to the other one, but it works nonetheless and I spent $0 fixing this so I'm happy with that.

Before the sylvania's, I had some cheap Hella bulbs. When I say cheap, I mean under $10 for the pair. They only lasted a few months but we're good for the price I suppose. All things considered, I'm happy about not having to spend more money for a quick fix. If and when the time comes to replace this set of bulbs, I will go with the most basic Sylvania bulbs I can find which I think are about $20 at Walmart.

Replaced the burned out driver's side bulb with one from my toolbox. It's a similar Sylvania bulb with the blue tip. Let's see how long it lasts.

I had similar headlight longevity issues with piaa’s I’ve been running for years. Not sure what’s up with that. Cool rig, well loved!

Not particularly 4Runner related, but I took my two dudes on a 6 mile hike recently. Took us 4 hours and 10 minutes from start to finish. We saw all sorts of scenery to include this beautiful waterfall. They had a blast and did incredible while on the trail (I carried my littlest one for the majority of the hike)

I hope that as they get a little older that we can begin going camping and things like that and really get out there for more than just a few hours at a time.

What a beautiful thing it is to be a Dad.
