Any pictures/thoughts of Firestone Destination LT275/70r17's on 3rd Gen?

I have found like three pictures on the inter web, but it appears to be a rare bird. I plan on putting these on a 97 Limited 4x4 with 2011 SR5 17" rims with a OME 881/906 setup.

Any reason why this won't work?

Thoughts?

they should fit a stock about the same size as my 265/75/16's

the reason you probably dont see many of those is not many make that tire... i only know of one company that makes it, Michelin, and its a hwy/all season tire...

Actually, the extremely popular BFG T/A KO's come in that size.

I went to a different sized wheel specifically so I could run a 275/70R17. I'm running the Cooper Discoverer S/Ts, but BFG and others make tires in this size. They are exactly inbetween a 265/75R16 and a 285/75R16 in height and width.

Paddlenbike - you definitely cinched it for me, definitely keeping my order in place. What/how much lift do you have? I am hoping I went tall enough with mine (881's on the bottom notch of a Bilstein 5100/906's with one trim packer). Your 4runner looks great!

I suspect I am only sitting 3/8" higher than you. I have Tundra coils with the 5100s on the 2nd perch (no trim packer) and OME 890s in the rear. I get some rubbing on the Limited fender flares that are attached to the front bumper. Personally, I wouldn't want any larger tire than this in the wheel well, yet my 265/75R16s did not fill the wheelwell quite enough, so I think this is a good size.
