Hey Dudes,

[MENTION=102606]infamousRNR[/MENTION] and I are looking for your suggestions on a video you'd like to see. It could be a repair or mod video. We're just looking for ideas and it would be cool to make one lots of members are wanting to see.

So, please give us your ideas. Even if you see somebody has already mentioned the video you'd like to see, mention it again so we know which ones are the most wanted.

Just because you don't see your recommendation on the list doesn't mean it isn't going to happen. The ones on the list are ones we know are going to happen at some point in the near future. The list isn't necessarily in the chronological order of when they'll be completed.

TO DO LIST

1) CV Axle Removal, Reboot, and Reinstallation
2) Lower Control Arm Bushing Replacement
3) Timing Belt Job - Includes replacing water pump, tensioner, idler pulleys, crank and cam seals
4) Supercharger Install

Bushings

Replace the Shift Lever Bushings in a 2wd automatic. Much different than the 4wd and a lot harder to get to.

I've got the $3 bushings, tech wanted $210 to replace......:gun5:

Antenna repair replacement, or replacement of OEM with whip.

Sound dampening with before and after decibel readings.

Aux fuse box install, including running the wiring neat and safe.

Step by step for installing a front receiver hitch that comes thru the OEM bumper, including CAD for the brackets.

Aux reverse lights install, with switch for on when I want, on with reverse, and off when I want.

Seriously, you guys have already made a huge donation to the T4R community.

Haven't both of you covered most everything except for a timing belt/H20 pump replacement?

Maybe an injector replacement, and if you go that far at least replace that coolant pipe under the lower manifold along with the knock sensor wiring, though Rock Rat did cover that quite well in his write up.

I'm simple and I constantly see guys here saying they "checked" something, but they didn't.

This could all be one video! You could add in starter contact diagnosis too if you haven't already covered that.

[MENTION=10169]TheDurk[/MENTION] is pretty much going through this as we speak with his frame swap but I don't know if he's done video documentation of it.

Rebuilding a manual transmission seems like something doable. I think rebuilding an automatic would be a nightmare but definitely a serious challenge.

I definitely want to video a timing belt/water pump replacement. This would be a hugely popular video, because at some point, everyone's truck is going to need this.

I think an injector replacement would be fairly popular too.

[MENTION=102606]infamousRNR[/MENTION] has done a ton of sound dampening in his rig. He's taken lots of pics but no video I know about.

I think an Aux Fuse Box install would be very popular with the Mod Squad.

I agree. Great idea, because there's probably lots out there that don't know some of this basic stuff. I've done very little electrical diagnosis and haven't used my multimeter to check circuits. But, I do know how to check a battery and see if the charging system is working properly.

Well, not really, as my approach was intended to leave as much as possible in place while sneaking the frame out and a new one back in. So I barely touched the whole engine/trans/bell/TC assembly, left the A/C in place, and only disconnected the 4 ABS sensors, two exhaust sensors, one front diff switch, and one P/S sensor. I really only undid the two diffs and shafts, exhaust, gas tank, and steering rack, plus broke brake lines at four points. And grill and front bumper.

I spent more time prepping and POR15ing than I did wrenching.

As I was alone, no video. Just lots of pics. I would like to have filmed the actual pulling and replacing, but just no way.

This vid really shows how it's done and was my inspiration. I just had to use a crane instead of an overhead, which made it tougher:

And, for the record, I pushed it in and out all by myself, a few inches at a time, with a 2x4 as a lever. Not what great video is made of.
