Cool T4R Story I've Been Meaning To Share

This took place back in September and October and Im just now writing about it, my bad. Anyway, back in September I was getting ready to go on a 2 month long tour with my band, and week before we had to leave our van decided it wanted to blow a head gasket. Now because all of the tour dates were already scheduled and some of them included playing with Every Time I Die, we absolutely could not cancel. So we set to find other means of transportation and after much deliberation, we decided to take my 4runner which at the time had about 130,000 miles on it. Thankfully it has an in-dash dvd player and monitors in the headrests which distracted us from the fact that there was 5 people packed into a 2000 4runner. So we set off for Salt Lake City pulling a 6x10 enclosed trailer with about 2,000lbs of equipment packed into it. Now apparently no one in my band decided to mention until we were just crossing the Wyoming boarder the they didn't know how to drive a manual transmission, so I drove for 2 months straight. Needless to say, my 4runner drove across almost the entire country for 2 months and about 10,000 miles pulling a 4,000lb trailer and it never gave us a single problem. Now if thats not Toyota engineering at its best than I dont know what is.
P.S. fonerunner, if youre reading this, i still havent replaced the rear differential.

ha its all good man, I hope the same for you! Thats one hell of a journey for you, even with 4 people loaded down it sucks and then to do all of the driving no thanks! : ) but you had to open for Every Time I die so you cant exactly bail out on them but you got it all done!

Thats cool that your band is doing some neat stuff like that. Opening for Every Time I Die would be a pretty big deal. I'm not really a big fan of them, but they are somewhat of a well-known metal band.

Your old diff hasn't made a sound since it's been in my runner. Im begining to think it might be something else causing that sound

It was possibly the best experience of my life. The first 2 shows with ETID were a bit nerve racking cause I didnt want to look like a newby in front of them but it got better after that. My band is called Glass Delirium. Our facebook is /glassdeliriummusic or you could just google glass delirium.

I wonder if its something to do with the axle. Axle bearings maybe? Or possibly the hubs?
