Rough weight of running boards please

each one is probably about 20-25 pounds

I bet they are under 20 pounds.
I removed the plastic-y SR5 boards off of our 2005 and I would guess they come in between 15-20lbs each.

Yeah that sounds right. I can lift them easily with one hand. Only thing about them is they're long and cumbersome, but not heavy.

Nerf Step Bars Weight
Hi Guys,
New 4Runner owner and installing Westin PRO TRAXX 4 nerf bars this morning to assist with entering and exiting.

Wow, these step bars are really really heavy. I have to wonder what installing these will do to gas mileage and from a structural perspective, placing this much weight on the frame.
I get that people have been putting nerf step bars on their trucks for a century, but any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Possibly just flat running boards are generally lighter weight and better alternative - although I more prefer the look of the nerf bars.
Editing with new info. I weighed them. Each Nerf Step is 10 LBS and the brackets and hardware for each step is 5 LBS. So total of 30 pounds of extra weight.
