Drill bit recommendation to drill out and tap 8mm skid plate bolts to 10mm

Pretty much all of the stock 8mm bolts are headless and I've been running skid plate-less because of it.

Do any of you have recommendations on a drill bit to drill out the stock stock bolts and retap with 10mm?

DeWalt makes some kits for 10mmx1.25 but that's about all I've seen at big box stores.

I'll be drilling them out with a cordless 18V DeWalt if that makes a difference.

Also, if you're trying to remove the bolts they make reverse cut bits that will try and extract stuck bolts. Knipex and a few other companies make some nice extractors now as well as easy outs.
 
I would recommend a corded drill. And a massive bicep for leverage, or rig up a jack to push the drill. Try not to work-harden the bolts by keeping quite a bit of pressure on the bit at all times. Using some spray cutting fluid should help.

Try this first, you may be able to remove them and not need to go to a larger size.
A little heat couldn't hurt either.
 
I use the cobalt drill bits from Dewalt to drill out hardened broken bolts. There worth the extra money in my opinion. Otherwise get a bunch of jobber bits and go to work.
 
Like others, I was very successful in drilling out the 8mm and replacing them. Drill out, hit with punch, clean threads with tap. The only replacement bolts I could source were DIN rather than JIS (13 vs 12 mm head). I replaced all the bolts so they all use the same wrench.
