It just means that somehow someway someone is buying them. So, it's nice from a financial point of view that whatever they are doing, people are buying it. Remember also, GM is big...not all of the GM products are bad...Cadillac has improved it's quality in recent years. Chevy/GMC trucks and SUVs are selling well.

Thai, you're right.. Cadillac has improved vastly in recent years. I never noticed it, but they are trying and trying hard. Lincoln on the other hand..

GM has made significant improvements overall in their quality, including multi-year testing contracts for their full sized Hybrid SUV's. The Hybrid Tahoe/Yukon has been in the park services for 2-3 years now prior to being released to the public. GM is also embracing alternative fuels (hybrids, ethanol, diesel, and gasoline) where Toyota is focused (in the US anyway) mostly on small hybrids and gasoline. Lastly, do not forget the fiasco with Toyota/Lexus this year with their V6 camry (best selling sedan) and the the Lexus counterpart. They acknowledged there were known defects over the last few years, but released the vehicles anyway. Overall, I think Toyota has been better for quality than the big 3, but GM is learning and correcting their mistakes, while Toyota in their quest to move up in the ranks is taking the same risks as the big 3.
The Yugo is making a strong comeback too....lol
Cadillac is making some damn nice stuff right now. I also think GM has refocused on its quality and trying to make it better & better .
Toyota concerns me a little with their fast paced growth. They have always had a excellent reputation , but I think people are rethinking their purchases more carefully with some of the issues their have been with a lot of Toyota models in the recent.
I understand the new 4R will be made in the states and that would be a big concern if I was to buy another one ( next generation )
