what is this hose?

On the passenger side on the firewall, i have a hose that is not connected to anything, but goes into the firewall. It is just to the left of the dipstick in the picture. Is it my AC condensation drain? If not, what is it? I have done a search, but could not come up with the answer. Thanks.

Hey matty,

Yes, that about two inch long rubber hose coming out of the firewall is your HVAC evaporator housing drain tube. Make sure it is clear to prevent mildew from building up in your system.

That is your A/C condensate drain. Wait for a humid day, fire up the A/C, and watch it work.
