BEHOLD...an OEM Bumper without Factory Dimples or Dealership Holes!

Greetings everyone,

So the other day I dropped off my bumper at the body shop for a little repair work.

Since the whole thing needed a respray, I had them fill in the dealership-drilled license plate holes as well. As some of you may know, even a virgin bumper from the factory comes with "dimples" so the techs can drill holes in the proper location.

Such is no longer the case. :keyboard:

I tried to get plates in Michigan ...but my CC didn't arrive in time...and my Temp expired before I could get to CO otherwise I'd have gotten 10th Mtn Division plates.

Im in CO and I just keep the front plate in my windshield.

Ya having front plates is a PIA. But cops around here are pretty tough and pull you over for no front plate. So have to live with it.

I plan to install the Bud Built Hidden Winch Plate eventually. When I do, I'm going to install a Hawse fairlead license plate adapter. Easy on/off without drilling.

I'm jealous - looks great!

You know....it's not so much the requirement of any state for front plates that bugs me. It's the idiotic, knee-jerk reaction of every dealership in those states to go ahead and drill holes for us.

Instead of this conversation, I would much rather be having one along the lines of "where/how did you attach your front plate..."

End rant (!)
