When you make it out to run the con, I'd love to meet up! It's literally less than 2 hours from my house. It's one of my favorite trails. I'll get pics!

Dude! Glad they didn't total it out (or did they?). The camburg is a BA kit. You doing a longer rear axle housing/axles to match the stance?

no total, 15,000 in damage though.

IF it works out and i am able to order the camburg setup for the front, I'm going to run double spacers in the rear and create a road hazard while totally destroying my wheel bearings to get it 'close' to the same width, while i start saving my pennies for a standard camburg 9" housing that is 7" wider for the rear and a currie high pinion 9" 3rd member

then i can figure out how to shoe horn a currie IFS-9 housing in the front, and get with Howe or some other hydraulic steering company to CREATE THE WORLDS FIRST RAM ASSIST RACK AND PINION STEERING.

Well, the Rubicon run was a great success. Lots of good people and endless challenges per usual. Nothing broken and only very minor trail markings. I'm still out camping so I'll give a sample now and update with more from other cameras later.

How did you like the MTRs @bimrunner

I had mine out for the first time a few weeks back and was amazed by the traction. I felt like i was cheating.

Loved them. Best tires I've had. The duratracs did well when I ran it last year in the 80 too though. The MTRs were just more solid feeling though. The KM2s were ok but didn't do as well on wet rock as the MTRs did. I did manage to take a small slice in the top layer of the sidewall in the MTRs but not as many or as bad as the KM2s.

Only if they were made in 285/75x17.

Wish I was out there with you guys. Looking good man.
Questions, how do you like or dislike wheeling with the rtt? I am contemplating getting one for a trip out west. Just concerned about wheeling with the weight of it or being too heavy.

Second question, which rtt do you have?

Thanks

Bobby

Can't get 285/70/17 or 305/70/17 right now, either.

Wheeling with the RTT is fine albeit the added weight up top is noticeable but not so bad as to stop me from wheeling with it. It is just the price I pay for great sleep in the middle of nowhere. It's a compromise but worth it imo. I have the Tepui Autana Sky. Really not a difference from CVT or like brands. I think ARB makes it with slightly better fabric but these are all Chinese made. Upgrades would be Autohome or Maggiolina. For the money, the tents are a great buy and makes the wife willing to camp with me.

If you get a tent, make sure you have HD rear springs though.

That's terrible! I didn't realize they were out of stock. The Coopers are nice too though.

The 305/70 17 are pretty much equal to a 285/75. Exact same diameter, just one inch wider.

If you look a the nitto 285/75 they spec it as 11.6"(measured on a 8" rim)

The MTR 305/70 is spec as 12.2" (measured on a 9" rim)

On the same rim, they should be nearly identical. So I would call them basically the same size in the real world.

Thanks Ben, i'll check it out. I have the MT LT heavies on my rig. Me and the wife are heading to Moab next year for Rock Therapy. I was thinking of getting a trailer but it's way over budget. Think an RTT would work for our needs or an ARB awning with an add a room.
