8 Years of Camping at the Cove

We're moving down to Florida in mid-August, so I think I'll have gone to my last cove trip for the foreseeable future. Oh well, at least my clearance is gonna come in real handy for the treacherous Tampa terrain.
 
Boy this thread is dead this year. :suspicious: Hopefully most responses are on the Facebook Page. I have temporarily disabled my FB account, however I believe the Cove page should still be up on FB since I have named a second admin. If you cannot find the page, please let me know. I will begrudgingly reactivate my FB page when this gets closer.

In other news, I'm one step closer to "just send it" mentality with a slimline bumper and winch now....
 
I may have to get in on this, sounds like an awesome weekend and I think Virginia is NFA friendly so ill throw a form in the mail to bring my toys. I'll try and see if some buddies from New England want to convoy down.

Have you confirmed these prices? I only ask because I was charge $35 per person when I went up there last month. That was regardless of age, so my 11 yr old son was also charged $35. Camping was additional on top of that, we didn't camp.

So if you have a family of 3 or 4, this could get quite pricey. Just wanted to ensure participants are aware.

I think it depends on who you get at the gate... last year cost us somewhere in the $250ish neighborhood for the weekend (3 people camp + trails)

I think you're right. We were told before the event it would be $25 per car load. Was quite a shock when we were told $75 day off for my son and I. Dirty business tactics at this place no doubt.
 
I'm in for this. We have a baby on the way, so this should be a good last trip before some initial months of chaos followed by a lifetime of more chaos!
 
If anyone needs some wheeling equipment I have a shrockworks front bumper/winch setup, skid protection and rock sliders for sale. I am looking to put my 5th gen back to stockish. Located in Northern, VA.
 
I have already posted on FB, but will post here too.. I am in, I am pretty sure I will have a friend with a truck thats going to roll with us too
 
I wish it were a little closer to us, I would love to join in.

Maybe next year with a little more planning!

I got the swap to cover my shift. I will be there this year after missing the last 2 years.

As long as my daughter's are in sports, the dates will always conflict for the foreseeable next 5 years. :Cry:
 
Well....

I'm bringing my ARB 2500 awning with GOBI brackets attached and I'm not taking it home with me so I hope somebody buys it! Kamikazi already claimed the Awning Room...


I'm excited to make it this year! Daughter #2 is in 100%, the oldest is not so sure... damn puberty.

I just put new tires on the Chebby too so I should be good for making it to Camp II, lol. :whistle:
