They actually have three. I was by there yesterday and stopped for a look when I saw several in their lot. One they bought from another dealer to be the first in the area with one and they paid north of $60k so they won't let it go for closer to $70, the one that you have a picture of, and then this one ...
what a terrible thing to do to a car. They want $60 for that one too.
And the used ones don't even come with a manufacturer warrantee ...

You can take the wrap off tho….. i literally had to tell the sales man to back up and take it a notch down. Should have told him to go sit in the corner! Lol

Yeah it does. In WA state when a dealer buys from a dealer the car becomes used, which means it loses it's manufacturer warrantee and gets the "Toyota certified used car" warrantee instead, which is much shorter.
How is the rust on these things up in Edmonton btw? I have a friend up there that was thinking about getting one, but he's worried about the salt and the frame.

Wow had no idea WA state had such a law for used cars when bought from dealer to dealer. Out here and I'm sure in most areas, any used cars still carry their original warranty until it expires, and that starts on the day of first registration. I know even for Toyota here, if its a 2020 model, and sold in 2021, the warranty period starts in 2021. If sold again now as used, it still carries that warranty until the end.
Bear in mind, many dealerships when I was looking, had the window sticker, and the online price matching (usually MSRP), but reveal the "actual" selling price that was much higher after we starting talking. Some dealers are just plain adding $4k or whatever. Some are selling the ceramic coating, tire protection plan etc for $5k-15k ($15k being the local Kia deal here).......

They bought them, which is why they have to sell them used. Example - used car with 11 miles on it:

They've dropped it from 70 to 68 this weekend. Guy I talked to there said they paid the other dealer over MSRP and then had it shipped up from the SW US. Notice the 12 month 12k warrantee.

In canada (BC) dealerships cant do that from what I understand. A new truck is a new truck, if it switches hands between dealers, it's still a new truck with all factory warranties.
Dealers here cannot sell above msrp. There is no markup. Toyota wont allow it. So different. Didnt realize.
I'm on my 3rd 4runner. 2015 2019 and 2022. Each time they had to find my truck from the ports or another dealership. I pay cash and each time I'm just paying the taxes to get into a new one. Cheaper than a lease with the high trade in values and msrp discounts when u can negot it.

That would have been sold before it even hit the lot here in south Florida. Those Pro's are stupidly expensive and in such high demand here in FL. Very frustrating, considering I wanted one but refused to pay over MSRP for one.
I was a Toyota sales manager for seven years. That’s not true at all. The rules for new car warranties are all outlined and covered under federal law (Federal Law 15, US Code 2302).
Even if a dealer actually purchases it retail and not as a dealer trade, it’s still considered a regular retail purchase. The clock on the manufacturers warranty starts, but it does not simply just drop off just because it is now used, and just because a dealer purchased it. On a retail purchase, Toyota does not distinguish whether the purchaser was a dealer or an individual. The dealer is just any other regular business making the purchase.
Since it is a Certified Pre-Owned, the CPO warranty does have coverage that may overlap with the new car warranty. But again, it does not cause the new car warranty to just fall off. The CPO warranty coverage does not supersede new car coverage. It simply overlaps.

I guess I'm stupid but you said its at sticker. Sticker is 55 but they added a "few" things and its now 61k. that does != sticker.

The dealers here aren't technically marking them up either. They are including addons at a ridiculous price. Like.... Ceramic Coating, tire hazard warranty = $5k...stuff like that..........the window sticker stays the same and the tell you once you are inside the dealership about the addons.

People in the SF Bay Area are too rich. They pay $10k over MSRP without blinking an eye. Whenever there is a TRD Pro on the lot, it's gone the next day.
