The dealers here aren't technically marking them up either. They are including addons at a ridiculous price. Like.... Ceramic Coating, tire hazard warranty = $5k...stuff like that..........the window sticker stays the same and the tell you once you are inside the dealership about the addons.

One of their favorite tactics to bait people is to list pre-sold pros on cars.com. When you inquire they will tell you it is sold but then try to pull the old razzle dazzle.
I had one locked (or so I thought) at a dealer and they sold it out from under me bc some idiot was willing to pay 5k over msrp to have it. They then changed their story to “it might take 6 months to get one.”
As if dealers were not scumbag enough, their raping of customers now is absurd and I hope people remember this when car volume levels off again.

MSRP Dealers - Document them and wall of shame list

This is being done in another forum - healthy list of MRSP Dealership plus the others that are abusing their "customers". Found my allocation for a LR TRD Pro in Tennessee being delivered mid-December at MSRP with only add-ons being floor mats and sliding tray. Will have to fly from Colorado (~$250) for me and the wife and we get a leisurely drive back to Colorado. Local dealer is on wall of shame with $12.5k markup. Even with Gas, food, hotels thrown in, I'm saving thousands and getting a great road trip in across TN and southern Missouri.
Oh, and local dealer WON'T be getting any of my servicing business (another dealer on the good list is north of us:thumb3:http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/happy/happy0159.gif - local guy can pound sand

I saw one of the nuclear lime greens yesterday on a 5th gen. That has to be one of the loudest colors in the history of mankind. Holy balls…. What would possess anyone to buy that color? Most of the paint at SEMA isn’t even that damn loud and in your face.

There’s no way that color ages well.

Yea, my first thought was MSRP minus the cost to have it repainted is the highest I would go. I get that some people love the lime color but I would have a hard time driving it even if it was free.

Don't get me wrong, I'll take a free 4runner. I'd just have an immediate appointment with a paint shop.

Picked up a 21 ORP for retail about a month or so ago. Not the color I wanted but same magnetic grey as my Gen 4 so I do like the color. I was hoping for white though.
There was a TRD Pro in Lime Green for retail available. It was an easy pass for me. I cannot drive a lime green car, no matter what the make and model. I suppose I could have gotten it wrapped, but that's another $2k I didn't want to spend.

Rarely do I see a color on an otherwise cool car and say, "I don't think I could drive that..." But this comes close. I'd rather drive it than walk but I saw one in person the other day, no way (for me). I do like some of the "booger green" cars out there though.

It looks like glow-in-the-dark lime green to me, like Mountain Dew that has a little more green in it.

Even though I’m technically green color blind, it really just means I have a reduced ability to distinguish colors, in my case, gray from colors that have a little green in them. (I can’t see the numbers in those dot tests I took as a kid.) I can see a hat, for example, that most people would say is green, but if there isn’t much green in it, I would say it’s a gray hat. I have no trouble seeing that grass, etc. is green, or that the green 4Runner here is hideous. I was using a little self-deprecating humor to joke that it looks ok to me, but I’m color blind.

I’d buy a red 4Runner with a Blackhawks wrap, but not until they’re good again.

The only buyer I see for the Seahawks 4Runner here is the team itself to use for promotions and/or advertising.

I see a lot of back and forth on this color (Lime Rush). I for one wanted it because it is different - with all of the people out on the roads these days (3/4 of them don't seem to be able to drivehttps://t4r-1351852ontarioin.netdna-ssl.com/images/smilies/noidea.gif) the bright colors that aren't in the usual range of white, black, silver, red, etc. is just what I want to stand out a little to make sure these people have half a chance to notice me (versus the alternative). I owned an Interchange Yellow Mini Cooper in Germany and we own another Mini Cooper in Volcanic Orange - didn't get hit on the autobahn and not here in the newer Mini Cooper.
