Any suggestions to get rid of Axel wrap on the rear axle?

My 2016 Toyota 4 runner limited Has approximately 8" of suspension lift in the rear. I've changed all the control arms to adjustable I've changed the coils. But I still have bad axle rap upon take off. Anybody have suggestions to fix this problem

What exactly does your 8" lift consist of? Stock drive shaft? What's your pinion angle look like?

I can't imagine getting away with U joints with that big of a lift and short driveline length of the 4runner.
 
You pin your nails are not bad at all. The drive line was slightly extended. It has 6" fab deck rear Spring spacers with 1.8" lift old man EMU coil Springs. I've spent so much money changing the control arms and this and none of it has worked. Do you have any other suggestions? I really appreciate your feedback

The problem is you are putting too much leverage on the springs with that much lift. You can have someone fab up some traction bars but not sure if that’s possible on coil suspension. Maybe look into leaf springs if that’s possible. The only other option is to put a normal lift on it.
 
Don’t you need to change the angle on the control arms? Like extended arms with new frame mounts or fab some frame brackets to lower the pivot point.
 
Are you running a body mount chop with that lift? I am sorry I might not know how to solve the problem at hand, but it’s a nice looking 4Runner!

I have never seen a 4Runner with 8" of lift before. I didn't think you could get axle wrap with a 4 link... and certainly not with the stock power plant.
 
I was at a light one day with another 4runner next to me... She looked so much taller than my truck. Now I know.

Not sure about your truck and that big a lift. You mentioned you changed various bars and what not. How about your pan hard bar realignment?
Just brainstorming...

I agree, how does axle "wrap" occur with a lower arm and an upper arm on each side? Seems like something would have to give.
 
I don’t think axel wrap is the true description as others have stated the 4 link holds the axel from twisting, or “warping”. I think what the OP may be saying is the rear end sticks up upon acceleration. What I am saying is the axel is pushing forward under acceleration and due to the steep angle of the control arms the axel is trying to go under the truck and this in turn pushes up on the control arms and lifts the rear end. Anyway, just my thoughts.

I don't know if calling an axle rap is even the right word. but What I do know is it feels exactly like Axel wrap when I've had pickup trucks with leaf Springs in the rear before. And it's anytime if I hard accelerate and put the pedal to the floor then up to 50 mph the whole back end kind of hops.

I appreciate that info that makes a lot of sense to me. Do you have a recommendation to fix the problem?

Grab an angle finder and figure out your pinion angle. Suspension is all about geometry. Read about Instant center.

Your geometry is out of wack
 
I think your driveline angles are off. I would read up here and go from there: Driveline Geometry 101 – Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts

Since you mentioned you extended the driveshaft, I have also seen on some builds where the driveshaft was extended too far and the slip yoke was bottoming out on acceleration, giving a feeling like axle wrap. I would double check this. With that much lift, it may come down to needing a double cardan (CV type) shaft.
 
What you have is probably not axle wrap. You likely have very bad anti squat from bad suspension geometry. New links won't help. You need a full new suspension setup.

The rear suspension just isn't compatible with that much lift. The links are way too short. Especially the upper rear links. by that I mean you need to relocate the fame mounting points a lot further from the axle so the links are longer and the angles of them are less extreme.
