I just got this e-mail. It says I can submit a question to Toyota. What do you think we 4Runner owners should ask?

I just looked at some of the questions. Here is the last one done.

"My Toyota stock is in the tank... tell me why I shouldn't sell?"

I am afraid the questions will be of that nature and not about about quality or safety. Kind of fun to read the question though.

My 2nd question is about the general service quality. I have owned 3 Toyota vehicles. So far I have had quite good experience in terms of product quality. But I am probably not the only person have felt that when you do have a repair coming up, the Toyota dealer is not the one you want to go to. The reason is simple - they always charge at a much higher price. It's a shame that you don't want to bring the car in need of help to the place that you originally purchased from. Is there any plan on Toyota's agenda to look at this?
I laughed after reading this one.

On the same note as price gouging, the price of Toyota parts has skyrocketed in response to the slow economy. Toyota wants their money either way, so if new customers are not drawn to Toyota vehicles, then existing customers will pay more through parts. I wonder if GM or Chysler attempted the same . . .

I did not read through all the posts on that site before I posted on it.

I brought up the RUSTING issue on the frame, suspension, steering and braking components of the 4th Generation 4Runner.
Also brought up the alloy wheel bubbling issue. I thought that since these issues have been posted here fairly often before, I would post them on that site.

I doubt the VP from Toyota will see or answer those issues but I gave it a shot.

Yeah its only a bandaid though, because in the short run profits will increase from this, but as people notice that the parts for these cars are expensive, an even with the reliabilty given from a yota, it will just take them to a different car manufacturer where parts are cheaper, and reliability is simialar.

I wonder why Toyota dealers are still such a-holes. It seems like they would have wised up with all of the stuff that happened with quality and the economy. Unfortunately if that didn't change them apparently nothing will. Toyota doesn't require much of their dealer network apparently.

I think they should have secret shoppers that are in their dealerships FREQUENTLY and the dealerships should have to answer for it. Instead... the dealerships offer to cut a couple of hundred bucks off of the vehicle price if you'll change your tune and give them a perfect post-sale survey. Those results aren't honest. They are bought by dealerships who treat people like crap and then try to get them to give the better survey result than they deserve to help preserve their rating. Pitiful.

If they were in touch at all then I know of at least 3 franchisees that would lose their dealerships entirely. Toyota should fire them immediately. I wish I could give my experiences to somebody that would actually do something about it. Toyota is 100% bottom line though. They will keep a company like Longo on and let them run the show as long as they keep the oodles of cash rolling in.... even if it is acquired in less than ethical means.

.

My Toyota dealership offered to give me a free tank of gas if I bought my survey in to them and let them fill it out and mail it in.:toilet:

Why in the world would Toyota bother going to that junk website for feedback? Digg is a complete joke. Just look at all the completely useless non safety bs questions posted and I you'll get a pretty good idea of the intellect of its viewers/contributors.
