Hey gang, it's about time to change my oil and filter for the first time on my new 4Runner and after reading many posts on this forum I decided on getting some OEM filters for my 4Runner. Still deciding on oil, don't want to get into a whole debate on synthetic vs regular..but been using Catrol for my entire life and since I'm going to do regular changes anyway, will probably go with that, at least for now. I called our local Toyota Stealership and got a price of 7 dollars for a single filter for my V6 4Runner....after reading alot of posts, I realize that this is a bit high. I went online and found alot of other posts for online shops that offer free shipping so it really drops the price of the filters, but since we live in Paradise and online companies choose to kill us with shipping, I lost hope. After calculating most other online places (including the ridiculous shipping costs)the cost came out close to what our stealership was selling them for. I finally tried one last online site that someone on this forum reccomended and I contacted someone at http://www.trdparts4u.com/MC-CDBD-CC.aspx and found the 90915-YZZD3 filters for $3.70 each and the filter gaskets, part 90430-12031-bag10 for $6.90. I emailed someone at the dealership and they stated that shipping for 10 filters and the bag of gaskets was only $12.00...so that makes the filters come out to roughly 5.00 a filter....cheaper than the ones here in Hawaii and that includes the gaskets as well. They also offer free shipping within the continental U.S. for a case of 10 filters for 39.90 for those that live on that bigger island called the Continental U.S. in case anyone wants to know. Anyway, just thought I would post this since I couldn't find any mention of cheaper shipping costs on this forum..if anyone finds one please post so that the locals here in Hawaii can save a few scripts...thanks.... :artist:
