Managed to figure out that my issue was a bad connection, one of the connectors had some rust in it so I cleaned it out, packed it with electrical grease and now I am good to go.

I recently did my 30K service and it also cost me around $600 here in Boston, the tranny flush alone was $199 which was optional and not really needed unless I was towing stuff all the time (as per the tech).
