So Ive heard it through the grape vine that there is a frame recall coming out for the 4runners. Anyone else heard this or know if there id any truth to it?

From the looks of the trucks interior it has the 4wd shifter in same place, so im assuming its not awd. and the places website "says" it will fit. I am looking for a total bolt in job, should I look for one right from a 4runner? Also says 56k,3.4L, AOD. Does AOD stand for automatic overdrive?

Need some help quick. Im need a new transfer case for my 97 4runner found one out of a 2002 tacoma double cab with the 3.4 and auto. Will this work in my 4runner?

I did check all the u joint, them seemed tight with no movement. Found a t-case out of a tacoma with low miles on it for good price. Thinking about just changing it anyway.

All the time. Just did tb,wp and front wheel bearings and when I finished that up the 4wd don't work. But I pretty sure that problem is just the acuator on the front axle because the t-case still goes into low just 2wd low.

I think there is a problem with my transfer case, when I take off I hear what seems to be chain binding and a popping sound. The sound only happens when going slow and I also have a vibration when I let off gas which goes away once I step back on gas. So my question is what is the difference...

Im in the process of doing my front wheel bearings and so far it has been a tough fight. finally got them out now just need to install new ones. I have the bearings already, just wondering where the best place to get the wheel seals is?

If I want to change the fuel pump anyway, do I have to drop the tank or is there a cut out under the rear seat to get to it?

Well I want to replace the radiator for the same reasons, they do fail and just for preventative maint as well. Plus when I got this 4runner I flushed the coolant 3 times because it was a nasty yellow brown color.

I did the plugs and wires about a year ago, also already did the fuel filter. The turn the key on trick helps, I have also noticed that it gets worse as the fuel level in the tank gets lower.

Just wondering if the radiators for the auto and manual trannys have the same mounting points in the 4runners? Look to avoid the pink milkshake and installing a seperate trans cooler.

I'm having a problem with my 97 runner cranking of alot before it starts, it has 190k on it. I just replaced the fuel pressure regulator and that helped a little bit. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

Im goin to be doin the daystar 2.5 lift and Im looking for the rough country nitro 9000's and nobody lists them for a 97 4runner. Does anyone know whats up with that?

Would I have to go to the dealer for those?
