I'm not sure what the city speed limits are in the US, but here in Canada it's generally 50kph (31mph). Everyone usually drives 52-54 though and it's at this point where the 4R can start doing a lot of shifting back and forth between gears. You're either running 1500rpm or just over 1000rpm...

The stupid thing is that many dealerships will try to charge $20 labour for replacing this filter. They tried to do that when I had it replaced on my FJ and I complained that was completely unreasonable. After a short argument they refunded my $20. Rob

I never owned a vehicle that had such poor winter fuel economy. The truck uses %40 more fuel to warm up at -18c (0F). At -34c, it uses %75 more. This is city driving. When it's fully warmed up, then it gets respectable. But for 20 minute drives to work, the fuel economy can be bad. Rob
