THe vehicle you regret selling/trading the most?

I'd have to say the vehicle I regret trading the most was my 2008 FJ Trail Team. While it wasn't as sophisticated as the 4Runner TE I have now, it had it's own charm and uniqueness which I liked. However the 4Runner is just 'more' of what what I wanted in a truck and that's why I went the route that I did. I only wish the 4R TE was available in white (non pearl) because that would absolutely be the colour I want. I find the current colours quite average and boring, that's my only real complaint.

My '92 2nd Gen 4Runner and my '07 FJ. Left the '92 at my dads house while I went to work in London for a year. We had talked about selling it for a few grand but it wasn't critical. He turns around and sells it for $500. It had over $1k in tires on it with little rust... but there was a problem with the engine. I'm told that the guy who bought it held a piece of paper up to the exhaust and it was sucked it. $500 later he had my first vehicle. My wife and I had planned on fixing it up and giving it to my son in another 18 years. Nice to dream.

As far as the FJ, I bought it new and enjoyed it for close to two years before I thought I had to sell it. Traded it in for a Land Rover LR2 because I was having a hell of a time getting the car seat in and out. LR2 was a lemon and spent 30 of the first 45 days with the dealer. By the time I was driving it on a regular basis we changed to the convertible car seat.

My lessons learned were not to leave my truck with my dad and to have more patience.

To say I miss it would be an understatement.

Bumper is a bit messed up in the front. Hit a patch of black ice one night and did substantial damage but fixed it all myself. (Broken brake rotor, three 19" AME Circlar Spec R's ruined, 4 flat tires, one broken steering knuckle, two bent Stance coilovers, one bent SPC camber arm, punctured exhaust, etc...)

Both motorcycles I've owned...
First was a '75 Kawasaki KZ900. It was mint, bought it from the original owner. Only had 10k on it...man that thing was fast. I'll try to find a pic...

I sold that to buy an '02 Harley Superglide. Got a hell of a deal on it. It was a great cruiser, and was the best sounding Harley I've heard. Sold it cause I never had time to ride, and it just sat in the garage.

My 1997 Chevy Z-71. I bought it when I was 17, fell on some hard times when I was 20, and ended up trading it in on a Ford Focus. I saved enough in gas to be able to make the payment. In hindsight I should have sucked it up and kept paying. I would have had it payed off 2 years after I traded it. This was the start of a bad cycle of trading in a vehicle that I owed more than it was worth. Now I am 6k upside down on a 2006 Mazda 3 that I bought for my wife. Once I get that thing paid off, I will never finance another vehicle worth over about 10k again!

I had a nice 68 Cougar that was just about completed i sold. Had just been ground up repainted and perfected. I miss it but im so damn tall it was way too small. Nice car.
