Spacer lift with an OME lift???

I've looked around and haven't found a direct answer to this.. I'm going to get the Cornfed 3"/2" spacer lift in the next few weeks for my first lift upgrade. My question is... If I wanted an OME coil and shocks kit in the future, do I have to ditch the spacers or can they be used together. Everyone that I've seen seems to use the OME to replace the spacers. Are the 1" spacers or 2"/1" spacers the only ones you can use with a new coil set or are no spacers the only option. I know a body lift is recommended for more clearance with OME set, but what about spacers. This doesn't have to do with what type of offroading I'm going to be doing, etc... Just wondering if the 3/2 can stay on it

no u cant use the spacers with the OMR since the shocks would need to be longer and ull run into several probs... thats why most ppl get the BL for added height.

x2. You will have to build your own lift.

I once examined this possability for my 3rd gen... OME coils and bilstein shocks for the added height of the spacers. I came to two conclusions.

1. I did not need that much lift for what I do.

2. I would require a diff drop to keep from blowing up CVs regularly.

I chose to go with the straight coils. I am very happy. I installed the diff drop and my CV angles are near horizontal.

My advice would be to do the OME lift with the 1" BL, as xskydivingdudex suggested. You will have more room for bigger tires, and less strain on your drivetrain. In a 4Runner, it is not your breakover angles that you have to worry about as much as your clearance.

Back in 04 I put a Revtec spacer lift on. In 06 I was looking for a better solution than air bags for heavy loads. I switched to an OME HD spring. I cut down the rear poly spacer (from the Revtec kit) why not? I cut 1.5 in off the top of the poly spacer and stuck it back in with the OME spring. Very ass high but the old schoolers liked it and it was great under load. Today I replaced the front with OME stuff. The bolts that you press into the top plate are pretty long and can take and extra 1/2 spacer. The inside or bigger is OME. On the ground is the big black heavy Revtec spacer - not to be reused.

I did not use that extra spacer when I put it all back. I think the proper use is for leveling - put one in to balance side to side. I'll give it a month or so and see how it sits - but don't think I need to add one.

I keep out of the PO - too much fuzz. Live up in OB and work in DB near ERAU. Could be North of your circle? I also ride the motorcycle a buch and the wife has a company car we use - only 52K on this 04.
