Any of you nerds play computer games?

PC gaming for sure.
Mostly FPS like Bioshock, Fallout3+, etc, Although I do like my platforming games; Alice, Zelda, etc.

I have a few older consoles (original XBOX, PS2, and Wii), but I can't justify the cost of a newer console when you can buy all the same games (barring a few console exclusives) for the PC, and Steam has them on sale within days of release.

Also don't HAVE to keep buying new consoles to keep up with the latest games. Just turn the graphics down slightly while I save for a new GPU. :)

I also run the hell out of my PC and Android Emulators.
PS1, GameCube, GBA, DS.
You can copy the save file back and forth through Google Drive and take your game with you on the go!

I so got my wife addicted to Pokemon...first the GB and DS games, now the show...

I don't play but my son just went pro with CLG Overwatch. Just made the announcement in Vegas on Friday. PM me if you want more info.

Used to be a beta tester and top player for LOL (riot games) in Santa Monica. Cool place.

Good for him! I played in some pretty big gaming tournaments when I was younger but never with the kind of cash that's on the line now!

I wasn't aware that Overwatch was going to have a professional scene. Personally I thought that game was pretty lame... In my opinion, it was Team Fortress 2 meets Halo. Two games I didn't care for.

I imagine your son is the one that's a WGA member with me =p

Cool!

Good to see a good few gamers on. I'm currently into VR stuff right now, but I played overwatch for the first time a few weeks ago, and I've got to say, it's a hell of a lot of fun!

If you ever get serious about Overwatch, you'll have to follow my son. He's in the top 100 and his best was #35.

Have fun and god luck!!

Trash 80

I was thinking more on the line of Missle Command, Space Invaders, and Pole Position, but that's before my first TRS 80. Very few on here will have any clue about what I just said. I loved PONG!!

I'm that nerd that spent lunchtime on my math teacher's Trash 80, writing games in basic. Then I got a TRS1000, but traded it as a down payment for a car. I got more chicks with the car.

Currently sending my Carthaginian elephant cavalry against Roman legions.

Stopped playing games for a good solid 2 years after my laptop died. Then just recently after Black Friday I picked up a ibuypower pc for a good price. So I'm back at it for fun when bored. Currently playing these games :

ARMA 3
CS source
CS GO
Battlefield 1
Overwatch
Titanfalls 2
Watch dogs 2
GTA San Andreas
Left 4 dead 2

Got more games in my steam library....

I prefer counter strike source over global. I even enjoy CS 1.6 ! ARMA 3 is a badass game but need a good system.

Yup,

Although I probably spent more time making an awesome rig than necessary considering that I don't have *that* much time any more for games.

I still play a fair bit of Fallout 4 (non triple wide screen format frustrates me)
Online I play Borderlands 2 (because it's still awesome) with a couple of the guys from work.

No Man's Sky was a huge disappointment (Also terrible triple wide support).

My mood changes!

Rig Specs:
Asus Rampage V Extreme Motherboard
i7-5930k @ 4.4 GHZ
32 GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 2666 MHZ RAM
3x EVGA GTX 980 SC
Kingston HyperX Predator M2 SSD (system)
Corsair 960 GB Neutron XT SSD
Corsair 900D case with some mods
Corsair 1200AX PSU
3x LG IPS 23" 1080p screens
Bose 5.1 Speakers
ROG Spatha Mouse
Logitech K800 keyboard

Full water cooling blocks/back plates and twin pump/reservoir by EK cooling
2x XSPX 480mm Radiators

(Note the cardboard microphone holder that I really need to create properly one day!)

Wow. That's badass and awesome !

Angry Birds was getting a little slow so I started putting this together over the weekend.

Don't really play computer games anymore, but play a few Xbox games pretty often. Destiny, Battlefield 4, and a few other titles off and on. I've stayed loyal to Xbox mainly because my brother and I play while he's stationed overseas.

If you like console and enjoy first person shooters, Destiny is a fantastic game with some RPG elements tied into it.

Some other various games I've enjoyed over the years:

-Destiny
-BF3, BF4, BF Bad Company II, and BF 1942
-Halo
-Left 4 Dead
-CoD MW 1 & 2
-Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic
-Final Fantasy VII
-Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Ocarina, Goldeneye, Smash Bros, Rogue Squadron, and Perfect Dark for N64
-Super Mario World, Donkey Kong, Mortal Kombat I II, Street Fighter, Beavis and Butthead, and Mega Man X for SNES
-Mario, Gauntlet II, Paperboy and Pirates! for NES
-Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters, WWF, Sonic, and Sunset Riders for Sega Genesis

Man I loved the Total war series. TRIARII! I played rome, shogun, red alert. Man those games were so fun. My fiance's brother just gave me his PS4 for I "have" to play BF1 with him. But im pretty mellow on the games. mostly PC and i played WoW for 5 years religiously.... I go back from time to time to talk to old friends but its lost the luster. Even League of Legends is getting meh.....

Man i'm getting old

destiny on the ps4. titanfall2 there as well. wish more people were online on the pc titanfall servers.

besides that mainly sandbox games on the pc. skyrim, fallout etc

When I have the time I play GTA V on PS4, sometimes online if I'm in the mood. Recently bought Mafia III for it so that is my go to for now although I haven't turned on my system in over a week.

On PC, right now I'm into GTA V with the LSPDFR mod. Let's you play a cop and pull people over, answer calls over the radio and much more. There are many mods for LSPDFR but I can't seem to set up the tool you need to manage them. Anyone dealt with OpenIV?

Still working on my new computer. I added a 3 monitor setup. Upping the RAM to 32GB. Adding a 3D printer to the mix.
