Key operation of rear window

The key operation of the rear window on my 2010 SR-5 Premium will not turn in either direction. It's frozen. Window works from the console switch but there is no turning the key at the rear hatch. Before tearing into it, is the mechanism repairable or should I have the replacement part available beforehand? Same problem on my 3rd gen, but soaking the mechanism in solvent loosened up the innards and got it working again.

Dry graphite in the lock cylinder and a new key. ACE is cheaper then the dealer for the key.

I am having the same problem on a 3rd gen but the lock cylinder is plenty loose. I am sure the switch is bad but I can only seem to find used replacements on eBay. I don't want to buy someone else's headache
