02 Sensor Part#s AGAIN...

Ok, removed the downstream 02 sensor. On the sensor it reads....

Denso 7911

I cant find one or what I should replace it with, Denso cross reference doesn't show it either.

It's a 2000 sr5 v6 4wd, non calif

toy part #89465-39855 denso part #234-4153 rear or downstream
toy part#894465-80034 denso part #234-4162 front upstream
the part number you provided could be an after market part

I also have a 2000 3,4L V6 4WD Federal and installed Denso #234-4162 downstream O2 sensor. $47.85 Amazon Prime when I bought it.

the part number you provided could be an after market part

Downstream Denso sensor #234-4153 is a fairly universal part (it fits my CA emissions, manual transmission 1999 4runner).

Check out Rock Auto's drill down menu of all sensors for your year / model here.

I'm not a senor expert by any means but the difference I found with CA vs. Federal emissions was two catalytic converters vs. one - meaning the downstream O2 sensor wire needed to be longer to reach past the second cat. Switch over happened in the mid-1999 model year production run.

I wouldn't be too freaked out if you were getting multiple part numbers showing up for downstream sensor.

Also, stick with the Densos.

Correct... but that is the toyota # on the sensor. I called toyota, according to my vin it should be 89465-39855. That crosses to a denso 234-4154 for a man trans with 12.91 wire and doesn't look the same. Mine is auto trans with 8" wire. Seems amazon has the 39855 that looks correct....but for $120 bucks!

Yep, Denso lists it as 10.63" but I believe they measure from the flange

From my experience on my non-California emissions T4R (3.4L, LTD, 4WD) I have always purchased Denso 234-4162 (Both sensors the same) from Amazon.com. The FORE and AFT sensors are both the same part number. Amazon seems to have the best pricing and service on the Denso 02's...

There is no difference between the O2 sensors OTHER than wire length. Proof of that is that Denso sells a universal O2 sensor with a pigtail that can be wired into ANY flange type O2 sensor. The numbers stamped on the sensor NEVER match the numbers on the box or the part listing. Stop looking for a part number that does not really exist as a listing. As long as your plug matches the harness (which proves you really have a non-Cali.), any Denso O2 for a 3G 4Runner with enough wire will work. Stop obsessing and get on with it.
