I am in desperate need a transmisson for my 2005 4runner. It is 4wd and the transmisson slips going from 4th to 5th pretty bad. I don't have to money for a 3k transmisson and wondering if anyone on here could lead me to one for a decent price or cheap.

The price quote of 3K for a new/new-ish transmission is primarily the labor to pull and install the transmission.

If you plan to do it yourself (I suggest a buddy to help, or two), that price will considerably drop.
