03 Suspension and Rim switch... I need everyone's HELP

Hey Everyone,
I just got an 03 4x4 V8 Limited in Dec and I need to do some things. I belive I have factory 17" limited rims and appropriate tires. I want to switch to either 17" sport rims or 17" FJ rims and use my same tires. Will this work?
Do I need spacers if I do the FJs?


Also I want to do an affordable but reliable 2 or 3 in lift....
Does anyone have any suggestions? Springs? Coilovers?

If I do it would the existing tires and new rim set look stupid and small?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, your tires will work. The 4Runner Sport wheels have identical measurements and I BELIEVE that the 17" FJ rims are also identical. I know the newer 16" FJ rims have a 15mm wider offset (these wheels are also on the 4Runner trail edition), but I don't think the 17's do. No matter what, your tires will fit any of the wheels and those wheels WILL fit on your 4Runner.

What is affordable to you? Do you have X-REAS? X-REAS will have an impact on your choices, not all the lifts are compatible with it, unless you are going all out and replace everything (shocks and springs, front and rear)

I don't have Xreas and when I bought my car I took it to a mechanic for a full inspection and he said I would need to replace the front shocks and rear struts?, If I remember correctly. I would like to have the new springs or whatever lift items I would need so I can have all the work done at once and not cost more that 1k or 1200 (with the other stuff that he told me would be about 800)

Also, how much should it cost to have the tires put on the new rims. About 100?
And is 400 a good price for the FJ 17s seems high to me.

The 17" FJ wheels also have the 15mm offset. $400 dollars is decent if its all 5 wheels. I looked for about a month and a half $500 dollars was the average i saw. But at the end i found a set of 5 for $200. It all depends on your time-frame and what you find in you find in your area.

Other way around. Front struts and rear shocks. Some lifts that use spacers, such as the cornfed lift, are compatible with the factory stuff, springs included. If you have that kind of budget though I think most people would say get the old man emu suspension. You'll have to look at some other posts to figure out which length springs you want.

I was thinking about the cornfed 3/2 or 2/1...
If I went with the 2/3 would the stock tires look small?
I would have to wait to upgrade the tires.
