Hello all,

I need to replace the speakers in my wife's truck. I have am really looking for an Easy Button, does anyone have a shopping list of speakers that worked for them? We have the JBL system with the center dash speaker and the 20 or so other speakers with the sub in back.

Thanks for help!

are you replacing all speakers?

Crutchfield is very helpful and a good start. I just replaced my JBL system entirely (7 speakers plus sub) and replaced the stock amp.

I have Polk Audio 6x9 inch coaxial speakers in the front doors, Polk Audio 6.5 inch coaxial speakers in the rear doors and a Pioneer shallow 8 inch sub in the sub enclosure. I have been very happy with all of them.

I ditched my entire JBL system, and I am not using any of the tweeter locations or the dash center channel. My setup is 2ch stereo, not 5.1, 7.1, etc.

I haven't done anything with speakers, but if you want to see how I removed the door card, I have this writeup for the lock actuator that details removing it: 4th Gen Door Lock Actuator Replacement: Step by Step with Pictures

There are 2 screws, 1 behind the handle and 1 under the armrest. Then some panel clip pliers around the bottom and it should shift up near the window.
