04 V6 Engine noise?

I have noticed that when cold, my 04 V6 makes a fair bit of noise during acceleration. I almost want to say it is valve lifter noise, though there is no distinct ticking involved.

Everyone else seeing this?

Only have about 400 miles on it.

there are no lifters in there. More than a few people have commented about the noisey V6. No fix for it. Just noise.

Noise is noise. Not a big deal really.

It does go away once the engine is warmed up. Perhaps it has something to do with some exhaust manifold valve or other.

Still very surprised with how much oomph this engine has. It really hauls.

some people get really annoyed with the noise. I wouldn't want to spend all that money to wind up with something noisey like that. That is why I changed my mind from getting the V6 to the 8. Helps to do some research ahead of time. I read this forum for months before I got my Runner.

I wasn't aware of this noise in particular, though I did drive both engines before deciding. In the end, I went with the better mileage.

I can't say I will even notice this noise after a few months. It isn't that bad.

At this point, the only things I think I might have gotten that I didn't are the better stereo and the telescoping steering wheel.

My impression of the XREAS suspension was that it was a lot stiffer. I am a rather mild driver anyway, so I preferred the calmer ride to the tighter handling. I ride a Yamaha sport bike for that sort of rush anyway.

I have the Xreas and it handles much better than without. Less body roll. I don't think its that stiff and I traded in my Camry for this rig.
