everyone seems to be optimistic about the insurance company totalling the car. but maybe it ain't so.
my parents had a very similar accident (from the pics anywayz) last year and the repair bill came about $11,000. Theirs was 2002 t4r, btw. Since the market value of that car was around $19,000, they wouldn't total the car - they simply paid the repair bill.
now, I'm guessing that your car is worth at least $20,000 or quite possibly more. If the repair bill is substentially less than $20,000, which can happen, the insurance company would rather pay you the repair bill, rather than totalling the car. Because it's cheaper for them. It's all about money, I guess.
So my advice would be to find out the estimate repair cost as soonn as possible and take action before the insurance company. You might even have to hire a lawyer.
