05 V8 Desert Runner build

Tested out the flex since adding the new spacers. I gained some, but the rear bumper did not like it. I am going to have to do some minor trimming there, that should hold me over until I can get an offroad rear bumper on there.
Went out to a little area that has some mud to test out the new Coopers. They exceeded my expectations. Got her a little dirty. Cleaning her the following weekend was priority.

Sorry for the lack of updates if you like this build so far! Just picked up a daily, so I can keep the mileage and wear down on the 4Runner.
Did some detail work on it including buff, polish and wax the paint. Looks so much better and I was able to get some of the scratches out.
Still waiting on my bumper from RPMFab. Should be arriving next week by the 10th!

Those tires look awesome on it! But im surprised that the front springs didnt lift you more, or the rear just lifted more then what it says on toytecs site. Either way, looks great with the spacers now! I am waiting to get a daily driver also so I can keep mine as a weekend warrior.

Thanks man! Yeah I thought that the front would have been level to begin with, but then again I kept the perch on the Bilsteins at 0 so I didnt have to worry about my CV angles. As for the rear, they are the HD (stiffer, heavier duty) coils, so perhaps thats why they didnt settle as much.
I havent driven the 4Runner in a few days, but she has a full tank of gas and ready to go wheeling or out for the weekend whenever! I'm almost at 160. Have got around 159,566 or so.

Thanks man! Yeah I still rub a little bit, so perhaps in the future I am going to add a bodylift and a bigger suspension lift.
Removed the front bumper and this is how she's sitting until my bumper from RPMFAB shows up!

Well my bumper finally showed up. And I wasn't impressed at all with the freight company that moved it. It was all scratched up and scuffed up. It took a MONTH for it to get delivered from Arizona to New York. It took me 4-5 days to drive that distance when I moved back.
With that said, RPM FAB has excellent customer service and a good reputation, and they are going to make it right and have it re-powdercoated for me once I find a good shop here on Long Island.

Build looks great. Sucks about what happened to your bumper but still looks great installed. Hows it feel driving the daily vs the 4runner? I'm the opposite, the 4runner was supposed to be the daily but it ended up sharing that with the CTR / IS300. I usually save the 4runner for rainy weather since its the only one that has AWD and wet rated tires hehe. I liked the raked look you had before the level but it still looks great now.

Thanks man. I think the 4Runner has definitely become my designated weekend/toy given all the mods I have done to it. Funny part is, when I first got it, I had a lifted Silverado and the 4Runner became my daily when I got into a wreck with my previous car, which was an 09 Corolla. Once I did the first mod to the 4Runner, there was no looking back.
The 4Runner hasnt moved in about a month since ive had the bumper off, and it won't move for at least another week or two while I get it re-powdercoated. I have done a few mods to my Suburban, but I am trying hard not to do anything that will sacrifice my gas mileage, since it seems I am getting better MPGS in it, over my 4Runner with all the heavy mods...but life is way to short to drive a boring vehicle so It doesn't bother me.

Went upstate for the weekend. I needed to bring my spare, so I quickly fabbed up a tire carrier for the trunk to hold up. It worked, I need to make a few minor tweaks and add something, but I'm pretty impressed with it.

Well, I am moving back out to Tucson, at last! I will be towing the Runner out there on a trailer behind my Suburban. Hoping to be out there by the end of this month/sometime next month. Nothing new with the rig, been letting it sit, so decided to take it out in the snow today.

In preparation for my move back to AZ, I had an idea to build a camping platform. I folded down the 2nd row seats and got to work. I came up with this in just a few hours. Its very solid. I am not done yet though. I still have more wood laying around, I may build a divider down the middle underneath the platform. I moved the amp and screwed it into the area where the seats are folded down. I need to buy some hardware to secure the unit to the hooks in the trunk so when I am out in the desert it doesn't move around.

So I am now back and settled in Tucson! I drove my Suburban out while I had the T4R shipped. Took a drive down Mt. Lemmon on the control road into Oracle.
Man, those tires look really bad ass. I'll look into those when I get my eventual v8!
