Just buy the taillights already! I agree some people are sitting on the fence way too long. It's a mod under $200. It's not like buying a TRD superchager for $2000+...

Yeah, I'm done with this already. It makes me kinda sorry I posted something to pass along a good deal. Now I am having to "justify" the deal. :shrug: It's a silly $200 decision. If they didn't fit right or looked wrong I would have just sent them back. No crisis.

it's been a year since i bought from them (did a local pick-up) and had the tails on my runner since. anyway, these are really good, for a non-oem (eagle eyes brand). only thing i notice is they are not as bright as the oem. compared it with a friends '06 yesterday and there is a slight difference in brightness.
Guys, I purchased the authentic LED tails for my 4Runner because I've seen too many aftermarket spoilers with LEDs that stop working prematurely. They also don't have that brightness that you expect with the OEM pieces.
So I'm not bashing anyone for trying to save a buck, but I'd rather pay a little more for OEM tails that I know are engineered properly with high quality LEDs that should outlast the vehicle itself. It will be interesting to see if any of the guys with aftermarket tails end up posting in the thread in the future because one or more of their LEDs stopped working or isn't as bright as it should be...

Sorry, didn't read the whole thread before posting. But I will say that I'm not surprised... How many times have I seen an aftermarket LED spoiler that looked all messed up? That's why I don't have a problem with spending more money on the OEM stuff.
eace:I just bought a set. I would tend to agree that I would normally have gone OEM. If my vehicle had 35k miles, then yeah I would have. However my 2005 i just bought has 134k on it and I tend to keep vehicles for under three years, so I'm going to RISK IT. lol. Would I put a set of aftermarkets on my LS430? No. I'm picky as hell, so I'll take detailed pictures and post my honest opinion when I receive them.
I got mine today. I installed them tonight and then parked beside my buddies 07 4Runner. These new aftermarket LED lights are brighter than his OEM ones. The fit and finish in my PICKY opinion is very good, and they are VERY bright. They are much brighter than the stock bulbs that came on my 2005. I compared the brake light illumination against my front garage wall with one original taillight and the LED light. The LED was considerably brighter. IMO a good buy and they came quickly. Ironically Fedex Ground came to my work after they closed, but I headed back towards work when I realized they had not been delivered yet. As I'm pulling up at work I see Fedex Ground driving away from my work into a residential area. I checked and sure enough a label on our shipping door, but when I went to find him, I couldn't locate him. I grabbed some dinner in the strip mall across the street and as I'm driving home I spot a Fedex Ground truck a couple of miles from my work. I follow him to his next stop and sure enough it was the truck, so I got my lights. I guess it was a sign that I needed to get them installed!
You should post a pic of both 4Runners side by side. I'm sure that would be interesting to see OEM vs aftermarket.
I just received my set from autopartsavenue.com and looks like its from TYC automotive lamps located in the US. Don't know if they are made here or overseas. Product looks well made and is difinitely brighter then the stock taillights ('04)
Yes, but keep in mind that the stock taillights were not LEDs for the '03 thru '05 model year. Anything is an improvement over those pinkish looking taillight lenses, which is exactly why I wanted the LED tails as soon as I saw them on the '06 models.

I just received some 06 Taillights that I purchased off of ebay and the connectors are completely different. Do you guys have any input on this? Thanks!
