'06 headlights fit '04 4runner? I've looked.

The headlights fit themselves, but youll also need the lower trim panel in between the headlight and bumper. You dont need the grill, but without it, there will be a little gap between the headlight corners and the grill.

Okay...thank you Troy. I know these questions are redundant. But as time goes on, people come up with some pretty cool mods. I want to go with HID projectors, but not sure if '06's will be the best solution. Trying not to spend 800 bucks for a local shop to do dual HID projectors in each headlight. I found the one's that KB puhes but not sure of the quality of the projectors and really not liking the 3 LED's and that yellow sometimes white strip at the top. Just looks too cheesy for my tastes.

Id go with the 06 headlights. Those other ones are made very cheaply, and Ive known several people with them have all the leds fail, including the halos within a few weeks. Plus, they are rather odd looking, especially on our 4runners, haha

WOULD ADVICE U TO GO FOR A RETROFIT, the pic in the link below shows it all...am in the same dilenma as you, but due to budget..will most likely pull the trigger on the cheap hid drop in kits...one of my headlight assy has condensation in it, so it sort of gives me an excuse to upgrade

Would you be able to show me one or two of those people who have complained of the LEDs failing or Halos dying? Or how they're cheaply made? Looks is all about personal preference, but after running them for a year I saw no evidence of how they're "made very cheaply".

I think I am going to buy a set of 04 headlight housing's (49-75 bucks) and use morimoto projectors. Everything looks pretty straight forward but I'm a little hesitant on putting the housings in my oven. Paint he reflectors black and tint the orange reflector. I found a post on HIDPlanet by PARAORDINANCE, not sure if he is a member here, but he has a '04 4R that he retrofired. He painted the shield flat red and it gave the "devil eye" look. Check out his thread. Does anyone recognized his Runner? I wanted to do dual projectors, but I'm thinking that if I left the reflector on the inside and used a HID 6000K, my hi beams would be outrageously bright combined with the 6000K projector.
I have a silver Runner so it's cool that his is the same color and also cool that Zopperman's is silver too so I can get a good perspective. I would pull the trigger on the one's that Zopperman and NJShadow are using, but I feel for me that they are too busy looking with the 3 LED's and the LED strip at the top. Do you guy's have any pictures of them at night?

Zopperman actually has the same set I had, I sold them to him since they don't fit my '06. Here are a couple low quality cell phone pics I had from them.

I'll post some later since I'm on my phone now. I didn't connect the LEDs on too because I also think they look too busy.
I may be interested in selling you my 03 housings if you want to talk shoot me a PM if you wanna go that route.

If you are going to run HID's in your high beams and use them to notify people and not just on the trail, they wont work very well.. The ballasts need time to warm up to put out sufficient light, so just flicking them on every once in a while won't do it any good.
If you want to run quads, go for quads. Especially if its just the mini h1 or d2s its a very easy project. This way you can have bixenon quads, and ridiculous amounts of light at all times.
