06' SE Tail lights

I just ordered these tail lights. Has anybody put these on their 06's yet? If so, please post pics, I can't wait to see how they look. I had a hard time deciding between the black or the carbon fiber, I went with the carbon seeing how my 4runner is G/Gray and it might be a good look, I hope.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I really like the look of the '06 factory LED arrays. I have never really liked the look of the "Altezza" lights. But, hope they work out for you. Post pics.

I sell these lights, and I don't think you can put those on a 2006, since those came with LED. You better check to make sure you can send them back.

Man, I have received about 8 private messages from people wanting to buy my factory lights and you guys can't believe I want to replace them. I'm starting to think about cancelling my order.

Because the new lights don't come with bulbs, and were made to be plug & play with 03-05's.

I guess I should have done my research first, even though the ad does say it is for 2003 - 2006 4runner. I hope they don't give me any grief about returning them. Appreciate the heads up.

That's where you are in luck, since it's says 2006, if they don't work, you caught it.

You were right, they don't work. That's too bad, I put one on and really liked the look, oh well, lesson learned. Called the company I bought them from and they said I was the 3rd person this week with that problem. They will accept them back and credit me everything except for the return shipping charge. They tried to justify that by claiming it was not false advertising because early 06's did not have LED tail lights....is this true? He claimed they sold a lot of them to 06 owners in the past with no problems because they did not have LED's so I have to suck up the shipping fees. Doesn't sound right to me but I just want my $190 back.

He is LYING. I can't stand when people do this. They think a customer can't be informed to know the truth, little do they know you are on this forum, hehe.

Everything he told you was false, every 2006 made has the newer leds tails. If you CAN, try to get them to send YOU a call tag, so you dont have to pay to send back. Worth a shot.

LED taillights have been on every '06, it wasn't a mid-year production update. It may be a possibility that an ower or two bought a '05 in 2006 thinking they had a '06 4R. :

Well, what do you know, after telling me that early 06's did not have LED's, they changed their online ad to reflect the correct years, hmmm. Compare this ad with the first one in this thread.

I recall from the Explorer forum that lots of people had trouble with Inpro Car Wear. I called them once years ago to order Altezzas for my Explorer and was put off by their unprofessional and generally sleazy demeanor.

Did you pay with a credit card?

If that company still refuses to refund the shipping.

You can dispute the charge, explain what happened to your CC company, and tell them how you shouldn't be charged for the shipping since it was a mistake on the company's side.

You can tell them how they changed the website AFTER you complained about it. So it's obvious that they screwed up.

That kinda sux that you had to pay for shipping, but believe me, you'll definitely love these LEDs. Heck, i could only imagine how i would look, if i bought my 4Runner a year before (05) I would go crazy changing my tail lights too. lol: They're really bright and flashy. Heck, when my dad drives the 4R, he tries to "show them off" by driving like next to a Benz, BMW, or Lex and stepping on the brakes a few times to show to the other drivers how the LEDs look vs their luxury cars w/o LEDs (heck, i wish my GX had LEDs or at least if i could change them to it).
