"Karma" met up with me and sat idle as I face planted my 04 SR5 4x4 in a ditch. Cowboys caught up with us and towed me out, but only after a half day tossing around 50lb bags of cattle feed. They saved me a $500 wildland tow though. Nice fellows.
My wife let me off easy for the accident until she saw the bill on a new one. We test drove a new trail model. It was nice, but err too much. Checked carsdotcom and gradually expanded my search. After a couple bust test drives on 4th and 5th gens I pounced online at a 2009 runner 300mi away.
It was advertised as a Sport, but lacked the hood scoop in the pics. I thought it was probably SR5 with aftermarket crap on it but it looked clean and I figured "its a toyota..it's gotta be good." The price was right at edmunds and 20kmi on it so I added it to my cart and had it shipped.
Today the rig arrived and guess what rolled of the back of the trailer? A T!TS silver O9 Trail ed. It sounds great but needs new rubber. This mod rocks but I liked the old rig as well. dumb luck on me. the truck came from Vegas. 1.2.12 Wins!!
