1-2" front lift options

Looking to reduce the rake in my 06, but also maybe reduce some of the brake dive and what feels like overly soft front suspension.

This is 99% a highway car and I don't want to raise the whole thing, maybe just 1-2" up front max. I've read lots of threads and it seems the easiest would be a spacer or the Bilstein 5100's. My only concern is the 5100's might be too much shock for soft stock springs, and I'd like to stiffen the ride a bit. So what springs to go with 5100's?

Would 3rd gen tacoma TRD fronts be too much of a lift if I left the rear stock? I hear 2nd gen Tacoma might get me less lift, but slightly stiffer? then there's FJ stuff...

OME springs on the bilsteins would be good. Just leave the spring perch on the lowest possible setting. I thought it was a really good entry level shock an should definitely increase ride quality over the worn out factory units you have now.

Whatever you end up doing, don’t reuse the stock springs. I used new Toytec (made by Eibach?) springs front and rear with 5100’s in my ’04. I think the advertised 3”/2” f/r lift was >4”/>3” on my 4R with the new springs due to the stock springs being so old and soft.

The pic of my 4R in my signature line includes not only the new shocks and springs, but also a 1” Toytec body lift and 33” tires.

get fj cruiser spring and pair with 5100s. the front 5100 should be 1 setting up to level the truck.
I got moogs fj cruiser springs.

So I'm liking this. Will just the Moog FJ cruiser springs with 5100's left at bottom setting lift the front any? I tested by jacking up the front, and I like it at 1" front lift, 2" seems too much for street tires, they start looking really small.

Find a 3rd gen Tacoma OR thats selling Bilstein takeoffs and swap them in.

-Cheap
-1-1.5" lift
-No dealing with building the strut

I just got some for $150 that had 6k miles on them. Also came with stock UCA's and rear shocks.

Fj

I got FJ trail edition all around, front Bilstein and coil. They were plug and play plug and play. I can't lift it any higher or I wouldn't be able to put kayaks on my roof rack. But it help level it a little.

I recently faced exactly the same situation in my 2008 Sport, and I went the the Eibach Pro Truck kit. (pics/details in this post.).

I'm still really pleased with the results, and the price. I bought it through Tire Rack, and I see now that the price is down to $699 with free shipping! (If you join freeshipping dot com, you'll get another 10% off of that.)

YMMV, but good luck!

Did you order the RWD fronts for 4WD fronts, I assume 4WD but wanted to verify.

Hey guys…sorry I tried to make a separate post in there ‘for sale’ section but I guess I haven’t made enough comments to make my own post ?
I sold my 4runner 2 months ago and have a BNIB OME/ARB lift I’m looking to sell. I have everything including the diff drop, and new stainless steel skid plate bolts as well as some spare “get home” front end parts. I’m looking to get $1000 plus shipping if necessary. I’m in South Florida. Thanks lmk

I had roughly the same target lift heights as you, and am in the process of installing 5100s and dobinson's springs. C59-300 front, C59-599 rear for 1.75F/1R lift heights. I'll see how it feels in a few days hopefully.

What about OME springs on KYBs? I’m sort of in the same situation. Would like a little more lift.

Not sure on the KYB's, never dealt with them.. do they have adjustable spring perches? I'm sure it's bound to give you a moderate lift regardless since the spring you're not using the factory spring anymore.
