I'm on the list, but I'm not worrying about it right now. I'm in Zone C and have plenty of time according to their "projections" lol

"ZONE C: Includes states with lower temperature cycling and humidity. Time in service

Just dropped mine off at the dealer. Said it would be a 3 hour job,, bit too long to wait so they gave me a loaner to go home in. Brand new Rav4 hybrid. Funny,, never been in a hybrid, couldn't figure out how to start it. Had to ask the service guy how to get it going, he smiled and said it's a hybrid, put in gear and go. LOL
Did get 42 MPG n the way home.

My 2016 Limited needs it.

You are correct. From my days as a Toyota Parts Manager, they tend to roll big recalls out based on select years or regions. Mostly this is due to not deplete parts inventory supply.

Superjet is in MPLS, like me but with a Ltd. is recalled, DesertFish & blefevre1 with Trails in SLC and CO (both mountain and low humidity climates) are also recalled. YellowSnow is in San Diego also dry (ish) is not.

I might go buy a lottery ticket because maybe I'm lucky! Also not like I am going to use the thing and if I do I'm gonna throw it away (just having fun I know Takata is a serious problem).

I'm sure there is a cut off date when the vehicle was actually produced and the part was changed over to the revised ones in the production line. My 2016 was actually built in 9/15 and I picked it up 12/1/2015

So far not on the list, you would think SE Texas would make the list.

I don't think its region dependent, I think they just get more priority for install. a member from Idaho commented and said they were on it. I have a 2016 in WA and was not. I am guessing trucks manufactured later in the year or at certain times are effected while others are not.

I'm going to wait awhile, wait for the techs to get comfortable and efficient at doing the recall first. A friend had a 20010 4runner done down south and they scratched some stuff.

Actually, they've been doing this recall for about 2 years now. This is nothing new to the techs. I had my 2011 done over a year and a half ago.

Thank you for the heads up. I checked and my vehicle is part of the recall.

Appointment on for Monday. The wife is relieved this was addressed quickly, as she doesn't enjoy shrapnel.

Actually, they've been doing this recall for about 2 years now. This is nothing new to the techs. I had my 2011 done over a year and a half ago.

It is new to the techs in my area.
