Earlier today my 1997 4Runner hit 100,000 miles! I bought it new in May of 1997 and it has been running just fine ever since.

I wonder how long for another 100K miles :)

*note....for some reason I cannot insert a photo of the odometer....??? I clicked on the insert image icon, copied and pasted the URL and nothing! Whats up with that?

Here is the link to the photo on my Flickr page if anyone is interested:

acr_ted - big congrats on having a low mile'r and being the original owner.

I wasn't wise enough to buy into the Toyota brand, 20 years ago.
But a few years ago, wife got a mint v6 RAV4, while son purchased a new Lexus RX350.
And I found a one senior owner 2000 T4R SR5 trade in, with 85,000 miles on the clock.

^^ Retired now, so I project in 20 years from now, might have a total of 155K miles / on my Gen3.
- just nicely broke in, by year 2037 ... :thumb3:

Congrats. I just hit 280k miles. Put 100k on her in 6 years.

Doesn't retirement give you more time to drive?

I do...but of course my income is lower now, and after doing field service for 11 years I am somewhat burnt out on driving and traffic. Nowadays I just order what I need from Amazon or eBay and let them deal with traffic :).
