100k - 200k mile 4th gen v6's post up

I've made a post about the reliability at the 15 year mark of my 4R. This month marks year 16 with my beloved 4R. Bought it new. Fun driving in the snow in Central Texas in 4WD. Most of the work that has been done has been maintenance. I have replaced the front wheel bearings, timing chain cover leak sealed, TPMS sensors(5) replaced, new suspension, other stuff that I have done have been mods to make the ride more enjoyable.

What suspension did you put on it? I like that it looks just slightly taller than stock.

Knock on wood, but my 04 SR5 Runner is approaching 140k and I have barely done anything besides routine maintenance and mods that I wanted to do (lift/suspension/etc.)

Coming from VW, where every single maintenance trip is easily over $500, I am in love with the simplicity of this rig. Can't wait for many more miles to come!

[MENTION=508346]PNWLivin[/MENTION] Bilstein 6112 fronts, 5100 rears...fronts have a 3 inch lift, rear 1 inch with a 1 inch rear spring, if I remember correctly. I did not install, I had a shop do it. I wanted a lift but nothing too crazy. Got some great ideas from other forum members. I like the ride/the feel/and look of this setup.

Bought my ‘07 Sport in late 2014 with 96K. Took the shot below on 02Jan22 & turned over 224K yesterday. Best vehicle I have owned.

I've had two 4th gens - my '03 went to 167K with absolutely no problems - ran as good as new till I traded it in (front end was getting sloppy and I was fearing rack and pinion replacement) for an '08. The '08 said to be the most reliable of the 4th gens. It was at 115 with, again, absolutely no engine problems and only routine maintenance. Traded her for a '21 Premium in preparation for years of driving into retirement. Not only that but I towed a boat at almost 5,000 pounds, skidded logs out of the woods, towed years of trailers full of wood. Change the plugs every 30K, oil and filter at 5K and she'll just keep running and running and running!

My 4th gen rolled over 200k miles in August of 2021. I have a short commute these days so I'm barely at 204k now. Still drives like a champ!

Purchased my 07 in February 2007 it had 7 miles on it from dealer test drives. 138099 as of this morning leaving for work.

My 08’ SR5 V6 was purchase on Aug. of 08’ and was end of year special. 23miles on the odometer as we drove it off the lot. It was a replacement for my wife’s dying Saturn. One accident , several road trips, one college move in and some minor weathered out parts 14yrs later. It is at 170,360miles on the odometer. Been very reliable and now my first new vehicle purchase is mine for daily driving.

It survived an over 110 degree summer in Texas and only had the little rubber cover on the hatch handle melt off, was goo in my hand.
