yeah, it is a tough pill to swallow. I just hope we don't loose her from the sport, she had a huge smile the majority of the day and a slight one after.

Let's just say the event had its ups and downs.
Quite fitting considering your screen name lol..
I heard about your roll though (and I didn't even go this year). Glad everybody was alright!
Barnwell Mt is fun but it's not my favorite. Too much off camber stuff for my liking. I like tough obstacles but I don't like having to lean into a tree, rock, or deep rut every time I turn the corner.

Yeah, saw it. But need a 93+ if I'm going to tow this bad boy around. Probably be between a fjz or tundra. Whichever I find a better deal on first. Maybe even a fj100. Don't remember whose it was, but a white one was trail gunner on one of the easy runs and it navigated the tight turns quite nicely.

Lol. Tried that and no go. The 3 behind me looked at it as I was moving forward and were thinking "not happening". I'm sure better tire/lift rigs made that all weekend, but for me it wasn't meant to be. I had the other 3 take the bypass and the winch out was really simple. I just didn't have enough traction or height to get through it. The instant the rear tires entered it we sank to the frame and stopped. But I will admit hindsight and armchair quarterbacking is 20/20.

I figured that. Looks like a hell of a lot of fun to me. That is thick too. I know if I had mine in that I would be cleaning it for weeks and weeks on end.

Never seen a Hi-Lift used like this before, but looks like it helped. And below is the shot of your daughter receiving her award for her new notoriety. It's all about making memories with our kids. If it is any consolation, my 18 year-old son almost rolled his 2006 Tacoma on that same trail, but at the bottom. I was off elsewhere photographing stuff, so I figured the kid would be safe on an easy run. His trail leader later told me that he took the turn wrong and if he hadn't gunned it to drive out of the roll, it would've rolled. That's his college vehicle, so he would be going off to college with a bicycle had he rolled it.

In that upper picture I'm wiping what I can of the mud off my hands before I get in to winch out. I had to clear several pounds of mud away from the winch hook that normally resides on the drivers side shackle.
I had to strap someone out the next day and I had mud up to my right hip on me. That driver thought I was a genius for using an old gift debit card to scrape most of it off before I got in the truck. I told them it was my combination mud scraper/decal squeegee. Lol.
And you wouldn't BELIEVE the wheel shimmy when I took it to town the next morning!!! :wow2:

Wheel shimmy got me too. I stopped at the car wash to spray off the wheels to drive home. Spent 6 hours on Sunday getting the mud off my runner. Great fun and looking forward to next year.

He was close- I thought sure it was going over. We were all glad to see he hammered down and turned away from the roll direction
