Small note, the white smoke is actually caused by burned carbon and excess un burned Seafoam. If you do a controlled release into the engine via a vaccuum line you can greatly reduce the smoke. (i.e. hooking it to a hose with a small valve, hanging the can upside down and adjusting the valve to release small quantities at a time. Its what we do when we do Intake cleaning services at the dealership...)

As for killing the Catalytic converters... I could see that there may be a possibilty, but I have yet to actually hear or see someone who has killed their cat via Seafoam.

yeah, I'd think that as long as your cats were at operating temperature that the risk of harming them is very small.

I've been kicking around the idea of Seafoaming my 04, 124k miles, but I thought I read other threads that recommended replacing the Spark plugs and changing the engine oil shortly after seafoaming through the air intake/vaccum hose. I put iridium plugs in at 90K and hate to foul them up. I'd like to get 60k out of them. Any opinions on this?? Yes I know.... The opinions portion is a silly question.... :bigok:
